  • Where's the price?

    • $619.99 before discount [so it seems]

    • Hello Amanda. Thanks for asking! All of our boards are now $558 after discount, and you can check the price in our website. www.explorerboards.com

  • Where are these shipped from?
    Is the warranty global?

    • Explorerboards are shipped from China. The boards are directly sold by factory and of course the warranty is globle. You can rest assured!

  • Anyone have good information on inflatable vs epoxy SUP's? Have always wanted a proper epoxy one, however do not have roof racks, therefore getting one of these SUP's would be $1200+ with a roof rack. I have never tried an inflatable one..

    • You should be able to find a business that will either rent you, or let you trial, an inflatable SUP. Most (good) businesses have demo days etc.

Inflatables have a place in the SUP marketplace, and people have their own preferences depending on their circumstances. These include transportation, storage, intended type of paddling (flat water, surf, yoga, downwind, etc.), user skill level, etc.
Don't forget that you can get soft roof racks that are easy to use and store (and cheaper).

Plenty of comparisons on the web; have a look at this (Aust) site as an example:
      https://www.baysports.com.au/blogs/blog/it-s-all-about-infla…

My suggestion is to form a relationship with a local supplier and work with them. Most are really good people that are genuinely interested in the sport. I've turned over a few boards now, always using a local supplier and each has taken my old board as a trade-in.

    • I've used both, and thought the inflatable one wasn't much different to the more traditional hard boards. I'm only an amateur though.

  • Cheaper at anaconda

  • +1

I bought the GF an inflatable Hydroforce paddleboard with paddle / kayak kit last year for $250 new. Looking to buy another. What do these have that the Hydroforce don't? Any new innovations? Removable fins would be good for when rolling up. Other than that it has been excellent.

    • Hi buddy! Thanks for asking! Good question! What we're most proud of our boards is the QUALITY, and the quality is shown from every detail. Explorerboards are all made of quad layer military grade ultra thick PVC, making the board super rigid and strong and you could feel that when touching it. Also the 6-inch thickness ensures optimal buoyancy and enables 2 people to paddle on at the same time. It would be great to have a date with your girlfriend on it! Constructed with soft, shockproof, anti-skid brushed EVA(also called E/VAC) traction. And yes our boards come with a removable snap-in fin, easy to install and remove. Some models of our boards are equipped with additional D-rings for you to install kayak. If the paddle(height adjustable) drops into water accidentally, no worries it can float. Our boards come with complete accessories. All of these make us comparable to other brands. Maybe you could give it a try!

      • Cheers. I think the 6" thickness might be over kill and take longer / more effort to inflate (which with iSUP's is significant - Kmart $25 rechargeable electric pump is a must). The current board we use is only 4" and we currently both paddle together (one sits on front, the other paddles. Me 85kg, her 45kg) and its stable enough to take turns/ swap over mid paddle.
It also has the kayak setup and paddle. Pretty good bag too.

I don't envy you trying to compete in a pretty competitive market. So specifically what is different in comparison to this:

        or this 6" version

        • There are many boards on the market for choices. Some tend to spend less money compromising quality and some choose to pay more money for better quality. It's up to everyone! Anyway, hope you could get the board you want! Merry Christmas!
