Pack of 20 SanDisk Ultra 64GB Micro SD Card $20.95 from Amazon AU [Pricing Error]

This post contains affiliate links. OzBargain might earn commissions when you click through and make purchases. Please see this page for more information.

This might be another amazon au pricing error or listing error. I stumbled across this while trying to use the credit given from the dishwashing tablet pricing error from amazon au. The listing says its for a pack of 20? Unsure if this is accurate or not. If it is, $20 for 20x 64gb micro sd cards is an absolute steal. If it is another error, they might give us more credit for having incompetent website editors.

If inappropriate, please delete. Thanks.

Edit: the SanDisk 64gb cards don't seem to add to cart anymore. Try using one of the other ones listed in the comments, or just try to find another "pack of 20" item if you wish to join the 'amazon's headache party' .

    my order got cancelled lol….

"Ow! My cataracts are gone. I can see again. All the beauty of nat - Oh! I'm blind. Oh, well. Easy come, easy go."

  • Glad I did not go for this one. Hate talking on the phone.

    • Live chat is your friend.

  • Make sure that it is amazon gift card. As the gift certificate they are providing can used with products sold by amazon au, not by any other seller.

    • They told me they’ll just give me a full refund once the card arrives and I can keep the card they’ve sent, no gift card necessary

  • Well all mine have shipped with tracking and never got a cancellation. Made 3 orders so this should be interested

    Order 1: 20 Pack of 64GB Micro SD - $25.66
    Order 2: 20 Pack of 32GB Class 10 SD, 20 Pack of 64GB Micro SD, 20 Pack of 128 GB Micro SD - $81.93
    Order 3: 2 x 20 Pack of 128 GB Micro SD - $92.54

      Enjoy your 6 cards

      • If its 6 cards, I'll get Amazon to refund me since it clearly says packs of 20

        • +2

You know it's gonna be 6 though, right? Like… definitely.

          • -2

@Ge3ks: No. Nothing is definite until I see when it arrives. Amazon has done crazy deal recently so I believe it could be 20 pack as the title said.

            • @ozlab: Just check the shipping weight on the ups tracking page (the one in amazon doesn’t give weight so have to go direct) will let you know if by some absolute random chance you are the one person that got an actual 20 pack….most likely you’ll see they’re only heavy enough to be singles

    • Thats a lot of phone calls/chat lined up for you

    • Just email them querying the weight to confirm what was shipped that’s what I did and they replied saying they’ll give me a full refund when it arrives so basically a free card which is still a win

      • i received the same offer.. free sd card trumps $5 or $10 credit

  • +3

I came here just for the comments :)

    • Me too.

  • Emailed them querying the wait of my order, they responded with an apology for the incorrect description and said when I receive the card to reply to the email and they’ll issue a returnless refund so hey at least I got a free card

    Hello,

We're contacting you about order #***-********-*******. We recently discovered an error that caused the following item(s) to be displayed at an incorrect price:

    Sandisk SDSQUAR-064G-GN6MA Ultra 64GB Micro SDXC UHS-I Card with Adapter -Â 100MB/s U1 A1, Black

In this case, we're unable to offer this item for the incorrectly posted price. Therefore, we've cancelled your order for this item, and you haven't been charged.

At any given time, despite our best efforts, a small number of the millions of items on our site may be mispriced. We're very sorry for any disappointment this may cause.

Anyone else get a similar email? I signed up to prime to get the free shipping here since it was going to be $5 for shipping, now I'm going to have to contact them to cancel it and refund me, what a pain.

    • Question - When you ordered the item, did you realise that it was an error or did you genuinely think that you will get 20?

      • I figured it was likely an error but given that they would have to correct it if it were an error, it seemed to me only logical to purchase on the chance that it was correct.

          • +5

@gimme: Dude did you even read my comment. Talk about confirmation bias.

I didn't come here looking for you to give me a life lesson on the consequences of actions, but thanks for the help.

            • -8

@djthornton: Yeah I did mate… and you were right on queue with the NEG. lol have you been waiting to throw the term 'Conformation Bias' in to make you sound smart? How long have you been waiting to use that gem incorrectly?

You were just having a rant about having to cancel your Prime so I decided to give you a life lesson. If you read a few comments back you will see that several people got the same email.

And I say it again, if you genuinely thought pack of 20 was a legit deal then you have bigger problems in life other than having to cancel prime…. go on neg neg neg

              • @gimme: I went through the comments before I posted, feel free to verify yourself that no one has posted anything like this email, most comments relate to people manually cancelling themselves or receiving emails saying that their order has shipped.

Given that I ordered shortly after the deal was posted, and only received an email overnight, I figured others may have received a similar email. You're being kinda douchy here by making it out like I'm just here to have a whinge and have people validate me. Clearly this is not the place for that sort of thing given that you are trawling the comments here. If you have something useful to say, by all means, go ahead.

    • UPDATE: I contacted amazon via live chat, they refunded prime within 5 minutes and apologized for the mistake. I didn't push for a voucher given that despite the inconvenience, they fully refunded the SD cards and the prime membership (no judgments against those who did receive a voucher though, good for you!).

    • Sounds like it hadn’t shipped yet so you just get the refund, guess I was lucky they shipped mine before realising the error

  • +7

I got the cancellation mail which was expected.

But I did not get a voucher which I was expecting.

    • +4

      same here.. no voucher

I've called Amazon this morning intending to cancel, but the rep confirmed that they are sending 20 SD cards. I asked him to put it in writing and they sent this email:

"We expect to ship your order in time to be delivered by Wednesday, 9 January 2019

I've confirm that this particular order ID: 249-4029799-xxxxxx , is a pack of 20.

  • Cancelled.

  • my 2 cents. Also got an auto cancellation email for an order that is sold by shopping square.
Didn't mind keeping the card without refund. But alas since some people were getting amazon credit.
I called up and asked and was provided a amazon $5 certificate. Not a gift card or $10 as others received, but it was something.

    • I'm curious - how did that certificate come up? Did they just offer it without any prompting, did you dance around making noise about dissatisfaction and the like, or did you just directly ask for it?

      • The certificate doesn't appear in your account. But it is a credit that is applied in your cart the next time you purchase.
The $5 wasn't offered directly, i just asked if they were providing any compensation, and was given $5 for my "troubles"

      • -3

When I called and they offered to cancel rather than fulfill the advertised quantity, they offered $10 without me asking. I just simply said that others on Ozbargain had been offered $20 and was put on hold for around 2 mins and was then told they would give me $20.
No making noise, song or dance, I never asked for a cent, I just asked if they can’t give me the advertised product in the quantity advertised then I would prefer to be treated equally to those who received $20 and the multi billion dollar company unsurprisingly said ok.

        • +1

Sounds like you asked for $20

  • got $30 compo :-)

      After auto cancel email

  • -3

i got an email that order was cancelled 64 GB cards. Very disappointing. my trasaction is in pending state. Today they charged me $19.99 for something new which i have no idea what it is
my amex statement says amazon $19.99. Previous transaction says amazon marketplace. Not really sure what is going on. Sent them email. I should probably call.
    Anyone had this?

    • -2

$19.99 was something which i ordered 20days ago. WTF?
I was on call with them. They did not offer me anything. not even $5.
So i went ahead and cancelled my other order for their painfull service

  • +1

I initially tried to cancel my order before shipping but it was strangely not listed in my orders, so I assume it was in the process of being cancelled by them.

But then I got a shipping notification yesterday. On live chat I told them about the issue and they said they'll refund and I can keep the card. I (genuinely) offered to send it back but they insisted. These guys know service.

    • Same. Mine was missing today. I just rang them. Said they had automatically cancelled it. No voucher as the order had not yet been shipped out and my card had not been charged. Oh well!

  • Mine to canceled… No gift card. The mistake I made was buying from local seller (Shopping Square Australia). So, Amazon CC said "its upto seller to deliver or cancel". So they can't do anything.

  • My order has also been shipped, and no cancellation email as of yet.
Order 2 x 128Gb from the Amazon US Seller, so hoping for 2 free 128GB micro sd cards :)

Wondering If I should contact Amazon now, or wait for them to arrive…?

    • If you contact now they’ll tell you to contact when it arrives and they’ll refund you, at least that’s what they told me

    • Don't contact them. My rep tried to intercept the package. wait for it to arrive on the 0.00001% chance it is 20. Someone elses rep confirmed it was 20 lol which is doubtful

  • I just got an email confirming my 20-pack has been shipped :)

    I ordered this one:

    Sandisk SDSQUAR-064G-GN6MA Ultra 64GB Micro SDXC UHS-I Card with Adapter - 100MB/s U1 A1, Black, Pack of 20

    Fingers crossed!!!

  • A lot of hassle, hope that it is worth it.

    • +3

Actually it's not. I have one order that's been shipped. All I'm going to do is email them when it arrives and I'm quite confident they will simply issue me a refund. Pretty simple really. End result a free 128Gb card. A lot people here are chasing $5-10 credits. For me that's a waste of time and as you said a hassle. I'm after bang for buck. Input has to match the output. Each to their own though. I'm sure there's a lot of students here that think $5 is worth their time.

  • This is a cluster (profanity). Some getting credit, some not. Some confirmation of 20 packs, some orders shipped and some canceled.

    • -1

Not really. Ignore the internet noise. Here's a summary. Noone will receive 20. Highly likely you'll get a refund once it arrives (of course you'll have to call/email to tell them that). As to whether you get a small credit when you cancel prior to shipment can be arbitrary but in general if you call you will get a token credit. It's how the world works. Don't ask don't get.

  • Cancelled, email about millions blah blah blah

  • +2

full refund received and two cards on it's way.. amazon = real Santa

    • Estimated Delivery:
      Monday, December 24, 2018
      By End of Day

      From: Canada (aka North pole)

  • Mmmm.. all my 6 orders are shipped, not sure what i am going to get..lots of 128/256 cards ??

    • Doubt they'll give you 6x freebies. Probably throw one for free and ask you to return the rest.

      • +1

Order total determines whether or not they want the items back.. From experience, if order comes in under $70 you get to keep the items.

        • makes sense. I didn't know the 'rule' but just applied a little restraint and only ordered 2 items (approx $80). One was cancelled pre-shipment but still have one 128Gb left which I'm hoping to get it for free. It'll be interesting to see if they'll issue a refund across 6 items if they're all under $70.

  • Got a free Micro SD card and a full refund. Better than nothing :)

  • I informed them of the mistake and cancelled my order even though they didnt contact me and cancel my order. Didnt get any promo credit. bugger

    • Same here. Did nothing and auto cancelled.

      • Did you purchase it from a third party seller?

        • It was Amazon prime eligible

  • I manage to secure a free SD card too - and strangely they cancelled my order and got me one locally (i.e. 2 days delivery) meaning i dont have to wait for ages.

  • One of my orders are being sent via DHL express should arrive by Friday. Will contact them when it arrives will see what they say. Hopefully get a free SD card haha

  • +1

Also got the SD card as well and they processed a refund for me so I'm happy with that. Amazon has been pretty amazing so this is more than I expected.

  • -2

My 20 pack of 400GB cards for $299 has been delivered.
ill see how much they sent when i get home
then ill hassle amazon to send the remainder 19 cards if only one was sent.

  • Looks like mine shipped even though they said over chat (on 2 separate chats) that the cards would be intercepted. So looks like I'll have to call them…

  • +5

Just posting my experience for others information…

    • Ordered the 400GB card 'of 20' from Amazon AU (sold by and delivered, not international Amazon)
    • Received just the one in the mail today
    • Contacted Amazon chat and was polite in terms of just informing them of the issue (didn't press for a refund at this stage)
    • Given an apology and offered a 20% discount
    • Was still polite and asked if I could receive a refund instead (intentionally didn't clarify if this involved returning the item)
    • Was given a full refund at this stage and it appears I do not have to return the item

So now to keep an eye on the credit card to see if it goes through over the next few days.

  • Only one card received. Time to contact Amazon.

    • offered a free return thats it

  • Mine still says 'Shipping soon"

  • Damn, Only got a refund. Have to return the item.

Free 400gb card courtesy of amazon

    Merry Christmas to me

    • +1

why would you get neged?? Isn't it the whole point of this post is to get something out of Amazon knowingly is was a price error

      • Exactly right

Still remaining a 128gb and 3 X 64gb cards to claim when package arrives

      • -2

Too many sad kboard warriors. That's why
        Enjoy the freebies

  • +1

    Received my order this afternoon.
Sent an email to customer service through the app stating that I had only received 1 sd card instead of 20.
Received a refund email this evening, no explanation.
Meh, free SD card. Pity I only got 32GB!

  • -3

I had no luck with chat support when my order was cancelled the other day, so I tried phone support today and was given $10 credit. I told them that the transaction was a negative experience overall and asked if they were able to offer any compensation for it. The five minutes that it took to follow up were well worth it.

  • Called up and got my 400gb sd card refunded and they let me keep it

  • +1

Mine got shipped via DHL even though I requested a cancel next day. They said it will be intercepted here when it lands for delivery, and then sent straight back. Will be interesting how many ppl that were told they could keep the cards, will actually have the order intercepted at DHL here and sent straight back.

    • I've got a full refund which arrived just then and the card which arrived yesterday.

Note I ordered a 32GB Samsung EVO Plus SD card though.

  • -1

I received a single 32gb Micro SD extreme pro today. I have contacted Oztech (the seller on Amazon) for a solution. My email heavily swayed towards receiving 19 more cards. Will comment with updates.
