Pack of 20 SanDisk Ultra 64GB Micro SD Card $20.95 from Amazon AU [Pricing Error]

This might be another amazon au pricing error or listing error. I stumbled across this while trying to use the credit given from the dishwashing tablet pricing error from amazon au. The listing says its for a pack of 20? Unsure if this is accurate or not. If it is, $20 for 20x 64gb micro sd cards is an absolute steal. If it is another error, they might give us more credit for having incompetent website editors.

If inappropriate, please delete. Thanks.

Edit: the SanDisk 64gb cards don't seem to add to cart anymore. Try using one of the other ones listed in the comments, or just try to find another "pack of 20" item if you wish to join the 'amazon's headache party' .

          • @bargainshooter: i don't think events like these are a mark against your name. They frown upon returns without justification and 1 or 2 returns a fortnight. This is a clear amazon error and amazon are trying to make amends by issuing token credits.

  • +2

tips: dont live chat cause they dont give you anything… call them up easy $10 voucher. thx me later.

    • My order got cancelled automatically. It was only $20 anyway. Got into live chat to see what happened and got a $5 credit for my troubles.

  • All you contacting live chat are crazy. I for one look forward to the memory card overlords

  • +1

Appears they have no intention of proactively fixing their problem, rather they will ship you one and hope they won't hear from you. Pretty poor attitude really, had to cancel mine. Bear service levels in mind for future reference.

  • +6

Can't belive so many people wasted their time with this "deal".

    • +7

I got $5 in credit and a free 64gb micro sd after they refunded me. Was it a waste of time?

    • +1

Took me all of 30 seconds to checkout.
Literally took me no time at all for them to contact me and issue me a refund + keep card.

30 seconds of time for a free SD card? Good trade imo. Kind of bummed I only bought a 32GB SD card though. Was a Samsung EVO Plus however so that's good.

      • It's funny that some people think this is waste of time but they are wasting their time reading this post and commenting

        • Looking back on it now, it's funny because I spent more time replying to the question than I actually did obtaining the product 😂

          Totally agree though.

  • can confirm. seems like the standard compensation over phone is $10. if ordered from Amazon US ask for an advanced refund, 1-2 business days.

  • I decided to cancel my order via phone as I can't be bothered dragging this out for another month or two. Cancelled all 6 orders and have been given a $60 Amazon gift certificate.

    • Phone number?

    • Oh man, cancelled via Live Chat 1.5 hours ago and didn't get anything. Had 3 orders so could've potentially received $30 via phone :(

      • +1

Yeah I hope people are reading these comments. Cancelling via phone instead of chat seems to get the better outcome.

  • My live chat guy said it is already in advanced shipping stage (it's Sunday?), but he will try and follow it up tomorrow to have it prevented. No luck with voucher or credit, said he couldn't do it. Oh well. Just hope I end up with a refund.

    • +1

Four of my six orders have already been shipped but I still received $40 credit for them ($10 each order). The lady I spoke to said she will intercept the items from her end and request the items be sent back to sender. I think speaking to someone over the phone gets better results…

      • Do you have their number?

        • +3

Search for 'Help' alongside '… Gift Cards Sell' or on the left hand side of Your Account.
Then, scroll down Browse Help Topics > Need More Help? > Contact Us

There are three options. Phone call is one of them. They will call you, so no need to find their number.

  • Expect to see a lot of SanDisk SD cards on Gumtree soon.

  • Professionals , chat is no good if you are looking to get a voucher. Call them up and get a $10 voucher

  • Phoning them is definitely the way to go. My guy just said that he'd give me $10 without me pushing for any compensation. After my package has shipped then I'll get my money back. This was a bit of fun :)

  • +1

Canceled via phone. Order hadn't shipped yet (so no charge yet). No credit, didn't ask for it.

  • +2

Cancelled mine straight away. Didn't want to be hassled with return shipping. Order not shipped yet. Didn't ask for any credit or compo.

    • +1

      same here

I put the microsd as the item I would like to be called about, they called pretty quickly.

She asked my name, then went into a rehearsed spiel apologising about the error in the item title and offered a $10 credit (I didn't even say why I was calling)
I asked if i would need to send it back, she said she could intercept the courier.

Whole thing took 5 mins total from requesting a call to hanging up.

  • For those that still want a 20 pack;

    Get on it.

    • +1

      Sweet. Haha.

  • +1

Can confirm, let them call you, state the SD card issue with the pack of 20, receive refund +$10 voucher for each order.

    • What's the number to call? Contact us number won't appear on my phone browser

      • +3

        https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/help/customer/contact-us

        Select "Call Customer Service"

You enter your number and they call you back.

        • +1

Thanks, smooth and easy to cancel and get the $10 voucher

          • @G Wok: Cancelled order I asked if there was any credit for the mistake in ad she said I will issue you a $10 certificate. So it was worth the effort I guess it must me costing them a lot for the error. Feel a bit bad now its like we scammed them because we placed the orders knowing it must be a mistake and knew they would compensate one way or another so we are bad.

  • +5

Called them up, CS rep confirmed that it was an error in the listing but my order was already in ready to be shipped status and I would be only receiving 2 (ordered 2 packs of 20 128GB cards). He refunded the full amount to my Amazon gift card balance (I chose this over bank account since I'm bound to spend it anyway) and said that I won't have to ship it back to them when I get it.

    • +1

this looks like the best outcome.
So eventually free sd card with full refund?

    • What number have you called?

    • Great outcome. Which card or cards did you buy?

    • Same as mine. I've got full refund for the order plus the free cards.

      • Just called and they were trying to intercept the parcel. Told him to hold and I'll call back. Waiting for the item to arrive… Then I will call etc.

  • $20 voucher and I didn't have to spend $49 to get my other US items shipped. Thanks heaps OP & Amazon.

  • They fobbed me off

  • Does ordering, cancelling then claiming for compensation put a black mark against your name at Amazon? I didn't claim for any compensation on this order.

    • +1

What makes you say that? And where is this so called 'black mark'??

      • I was just curious if Amazon takes note of that sort of thing.

        • Doubt it since it was a mistake from their end. A lot of people here are getting compensated regardless whether they've ask or not. Worth a try imo due to the hassle.

  • Like everyone else, I called them and they refunded the cost and gave me $10 credit. Lol.

  • Spoke to live chat to cancel. Didn't ask for credit but was given.

  • Requested a callback from Amazon. Was given only $5 voucher (not $10) for my inconvenience. Not my lucky day :(
P.S. I ordered from Amazon AU, not Amazon US.

  • Update* Spent 20 mins argue with Rep.
He mentioned he will apply $10 voucher but not refund.

  • Called em up, said they couldn't cancel the order because it was getting ready to ship but to call back tomorrow and they will intercept the package? and tell the driver to return it. Doesn't make sense but whatever, will call tomorrow. Was Amazon US not AU. Made 1 order of 5x20, so will probably just get the 1x $10 credit or nothing.

  • also cancelled over phone, said it was already being dispatched so they will contact courier to intercept

    received $20 credit

  • -1

Only get $5 voucher, this deal is getting worse and worse.

    • same here

    • +3

What "deal" it was an error on their listing, but most places would give you squat for getting it wrong and just cancel your order.

  • $10 credit and may still receive the items.

    thank you!

  • $10 credit with 2 orders refunded via callback

  • +3

So much effort for $5 and $10.

    • It all depends on how many orders you made. I made 6 orders, so received $60 Amazon in gift certificates. Better than nothing, I guess.

  • Ordered 15 min after the deal was posted yesterday, called and they were able to cancel as it hadn't been shipped (US order) she then put me on hold 'to check something' then came back and advised they were giving me $5 credit for the inconvenience - wasn't requested but happy with that.

Email: "I've issued a $5 promotional certificate to your Amazon.com.au account, which will automatically apply the next time you order an eligible item sold and shipped by Amazon"

  • Contacted chat and got my order cancelled all within a few minutes. Received $5 compensation.

  • +1

You still can find them on Data Cables Best sellers, why they don’t fix it !!

  • +2

Just wait for the order to arrive, if u only got 1 instead of 20 then do a credit card dispute for item not as described and ask the cc company to chargeback 95% of the amount you have paid. I don't see how you can lose the dispute. They aldy agreed to sell you the said qty at the said price when they charge your card and ship out the item. If it was considered by the merchant as a price error then they should have cancelled the order instead.

    • The title didn't match the technical details. Anyway, some people already got the refund + compensation credit (with some even getting the comment from Amazon CSR saying even if the item arrived, keep it).

You can contact them later and sort it out. I don't think doing a chargeback against Amazon is a good idea. Sure, you will get your money back through chargeback, but Amazon's system could potentially block that Amazon account from future purchases.

      • 2nd that - not only that account but they'll cross reference and block every account you try to open worldwide.

        • Well if you only have 1 credit card then that might be the case, but I doubt anyone here is in that situation. Worse case scenario you can report your card as lost and get a new card number issued.

      • +1

I have done a chargeback on an Amazon purchase because the item was lost in mail (the only time during my 10+ yrs shopping on Amazon US/AU). Usually Amazon customer service is really great but I am not sure what was wrong with that CSO serving me, so instead of shooting up another CSO and repeating it all again I just opened a chargeback which was much easier. There was no effect on my account/card at all. I can still use it for purchase as usual.

  • I havnt got call or chat, should i call now or wait until tomorrow after my item got dispatched then cancel?

Are you guys who called ask them if they are going to receive pack of 20 or just 1 and then cancel the order or the representative just know what you are going to say and cancel order and refund?

  • +1

Now I know why gerry is so pissed off. This is a coordinated attack on amazon.

  • I’m simply after 1x card. IF anyone receives theirs and happy to sell, let me know. DM me.

  • Rang CS and cancelled order, the nice gentlement offered $10 credit….winning!

  • No compensation for me. Order already shipping but they processed an advanced refund anyway and cancelled the order.
With some luck the order still arrives.

  • I cancelled over chat. The guy didn't say anything about giving me credit, but I just noticed I have $5 promotional credit in my account now

    • How do you check balance of promotional credit?

      • should be in account settings under gift cards I think. Or just click on anything to purchase and go to final screen before purchase and you should see the credit automatically applied

  • +1

I wonder if i wait for the order to arrive first and cancel the order due to their mistake would be a better idea? Anyone have experience on this? Does it required me to post the item back (Amazon US) if it’s their listing mistakes?

    • That’s what i am doing, I think the chances of having an outcome of keeping the card and full refund is much higher than now.

My card has been posted already.

  • +1

I called them and cancelled but didn’t bother to ask for credit. That’s it. Got nothing. Im tired.

  • Called and cancelled. Guy said I'd get $10 credit, but nothing in my account. Guess he forgot to apply it.

    • +1

It normally doesnt show it just minus 10dollars when you by something

      • That's what the amazon guy said, so I tried to buy something, but there was no $10 credit applied (went through to the final step before purchase).

        • Items that can use the credit must be sold by Amazon, no third parties

  • +3

I don't understand why you guys are all so upset knowing the OP has warned you that it is likely to be a listing error, and despite this you guys are pushing or accepting the compensation. Shame on you.

    • Reminds me of Play School.
"it's not fair Benita - George got 10 donuts but I only got 5"

  • Called and the rep told me that I'd definitely receive 20 cards since that's what it says on the listing, I told her I'm going to cancel it anyways. Since the order hasn't been shipped yet apparently I haven't been charged yet?? She was kind of vague but anyways I cancelled and didn't ask for credit. Kind of annoyed she told me I'd get all 20 cards though when clearly I'm not. :/

    • You should have just kept a copy of the conversation and wait till you received your card.

    • You can only find out when you receive

  • +6

So people aren't playing the long game? Wait for the item and then maybe get a no return refund or worse case return the item at no cost?

  • -3

I don't get why people are cancelling. You went into it knowing full well this was an error so presumably bought it anyway to play the long game. Or was it just fomo and now back paddling??
Amazon is the easiest seller to deal with in terms of returns and possibly even a freebie.

    • -6

Some presumably lazy passive aggressive negged me within 5 seconds lol

  • Support refused to give any credit for my order

  • -3

On 2nd thought keep cancelling. Fewer people in the pool, higher likelihood of me getting a better deal when it arrives. Neg away

  • -1

One of my orders got automatically cancelled by amazon. Just got an emaul. The other one is in transit

  • +2

    Hello,

We're contacting you about order #*****. We recently discovered an error that caused the following item(s) to be displayed at an incorrect price:

In this case, we're unable to offer this item for the incorrectly posted price. Therefore, we've cancelled your order for this item, and you haven't been charged.

    • Just got the same. No credit.

      • Yep, considering live chat to complain for credit haha

  • My order got cancelled automatically. Refunded and got a $5 credit for asking about it on live chat. A couple of minutes well spent.
