  • What’s a spring tool?

I need something to change links and battery of watches. Does this do the job?

    • Its used to change straps and links.

You can do the same job with the $6 ones sold on ebay, unless of course you really want a “Bergeon”

You can do the same job with all kinds of cheaper tools, sometimes it's nice to have something nicely made.

        • I agree, but I was replying to Owgasm who doesn’t even know what a spring tool is…

"Guarantee Original Swiss Made" but shipped from Malaysia… hmmm. I'll pass.

    • You don’t think some Malaysian imported these to sell in their country and decided to export as well

      • I'd be impressed if they could fake this: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Bergeon-5700-Z-Swiss-Made-Watch-…

The Chinese has faked this particular product in the past.

          • @t25: Link?

            • @Julius: When I was in China for a watch/jewelry exhibition, there was companies out there that would have direct replicas of Bergeon products. Some even had the part number and box just like the original. Of course they were sold at a significant discount, and I have to admit, I was tempted to try one.

I have also seen these pop up on eBay before but this was back in 2007.

              • @t25: I messaged watchnerd to get his thoughts. Guy hasn't responded yet.

I feel if its said genuine in the title/description, the seller risks a chargeback or PayPal complaint.

Lots of Bergeon equipment is repped. I don’t know about this particular model. Also, the Bergeon packaging is imitated often too.

    • I’m pretty sure this seller has been stocking these for a couple of years. Some of the Swiss sellers don’t ship to Australia.

  • No GST?

    • Updated post with GST.

  • Good price!

  • Where's watchnerd?

Haven't tried but heard many good things from this business, which hand machines the tool.

I bought the 6767F from the same seller awhile back. Seems real enough to me and has lasted till now.
