Good price - owned the 2015 model until recently. Just some feedback for those contemplating it, go check one out in Babybunting or a similar shop first. They are very solid, but are heavy and bulky as well (Amazon says they are 8kg but the official site says 9.5kg). Because of the bulk most people will need two hands free to get it in and out of their car.

The GT with fatter wheels is signifiantly heavier than the non-GT version, which in retrospect we should have got because unless you are going off pathways a lot, the non-GT is just fine.

    • +2

I had the non-GT, light and easy to get in and out the car. Wife gave it to a friend after 4 years of hard use to which it held up well.

The friend listed it on Facebook for $250 a week later… she is probably an ozbargainer. Hi!

      • Smart friend LOL

      • Guessing the "friend" didn't give you the money? What a broden

    • Agree with this, I have the non-GT and glad I got it. Wouldn't want it any heavier.

    • I'd disagree with you calling it heavy, let alone bulky..

    • +1

Absolutely disagree, unless there was a change between my 2014 model and 2015 (which I doubt since the OP model looks identical so looks like nothing has changed in the last 4 years) I'd say that that GT City is the pick of the bunch. I was gifted a lot of secondhand prams and they are all bulky, heavier, hard to put up and put away, and generally more fiddly without any extra benefit than this model. I'm on second kid and still use the 2014 model.

I remember recently I was packing the kids up in the car as friends with a 6 month old was watching. You can basically pack this thing up with one strong yanking motion and straight into the boot (opening it up is similarly easy once you decide not to both clipping the under pram basket to the poles) they were so taken aback by how quick it was they went out and got one about a week after!

This price is really cheap. I think I paid around this back in 2014 when the AUD was quite strong against the USD on Amazon US. Try and get it priced matched at Baby Bunting (good luck) but my one was shipped to Oz within about 2 or 3 weeks.

  • reckon it will be 250 soon or that was the select?

    • select, this is bottom price for the city mini gt. i understand they have the occasional warehouse sale in melbourne, but not sure of pricing there.

  • I ordered this back during the Black Friday sales, but the item still hasn't been shipped. Every time we get to the "expected shipping date" it gets pushed back further and further. I have lost faith that I'll be receiving this before Christmas now

    • +1

I ordered a couple of hours ago and it has already been shipped. I will have mine here on Wednesday.

    • I am in the same boat as you. Still waiting.

      • Hi Vinay, can you please send me a direct message with some more details about your order and I can follow up for you.

        Thanks

    • I better order one before I produce a baby then

    • I'm having the same issue, That's frustrating they keep advertising it when they haven't shipped ours yet. I've emailed Amazon and they assured me they will ship mine before they start taking new delivery's, Yet here we are haha.

      • Hi Ziglez, can you please send me a direct message with some more details about your order and I can follow up for you.

        Thanks

    • Hi Krazek, can you please send me a direct message with some more details about your order and I can follow up for you.

      Thanks

    • Hi Krazek, I've been advised that your order has been shipped yesterday. Apologies for the inconvenience.

      • Thanks dbvan, not sure if you were the one pulling the strings but finally received today. Cheers

Love this pram - small form, light-weight (I lift it in and out one-handed by the folding strap) and easy to push around.
If you're going to put a capsule or bassinet on this, the insert is easy to remove and makes it a lot lighter.

  • need a Bugaboo sale… i didn't notice any for black friday so assuming these over priced bastards are never on sale?

    • +1

When Baby Bunting has 20% off sales it may include them. If lucky could stack with ebay 10% off which seems fairly regular

    • +1

Bugaboo seem to have 20% off with free shipping at www.babyvillage.com.au.
Just a quick glance- Sure you'll find them cheaper come Boxing Day.

      • after having gone and seen the bugaboo/joolz (and other ridiculously priced prams) i do see some value in the convenience, compact/lightweightness, easy to maneuver but i just can't swallow the $1500 price tags even after 20% discounts and cashbacks etc.

am i just being a tightarse ozbargainer or are these other brands really worth a grand more than say this baby jogger - this is our first but also intend to go back to back shortly afterwards so do anticipate a few years use.

I have this pram and is is awesomeeeeeee! Best this we ever bought for the kids.

Folds so small. Very light and easy to maneuver. Fold up is a cinch with a single hand.

Fits in a small car or hatch back boot.

    +1 recommend!

  • -1

someone find me a bargain bassinet to go with it

    • Gumtree it. Lots of parents will have bought the bassinet but dont need it any more. Be surprised if you cant get one for $50 or less.

    • If you are in Melb I'd sell you mine.

  • I think a better deal would be the cost of a freebie deal condom instead :P

    (joke ref)

  • Great pram. Super light, especially after taking it out to use instead of the Steelcraft Strider Compact.
Still amazes me how light and maneuverable it is.

  • This is a good stroller - very manouverable and folds pretty flat. Never have to pump tyres.

  • I have the 4 wheel version, amazing. It is heavy, but easy to fold literally 2 seconds and wheels removable.

    This is a good price!

I have this pram (older model) and so does my cousin who is a petite person and we can both easily fold this pram and lift it into the boot of our cars, single-handledy. I don't know about the first comment saying that 'most' people will need two hands but here are the main reasons I bought the pram a few years ago :
    1) I can fold and lift it into my car with one arm in case my other arm was occupied carrying bub or other stuff.
    2) The all terrain wheels made it so easy to manoeuvre in parks. Also, I think my bub slept well in the pram due to the comfy smooth tires compared to the rickety rack tires I've seen on other prams..
    3) I personally like how the park brake is located on top of pram where I can control with my hand rather than at bottom.

Only con is the small basket located underneath pram but not a deal breaker for me. Can still fit essentials like nappies, wipes, water bottle, small bag..

Also, I've used my SIL's bugaboo. Looks nice but I'm not a fan of the set up and packing up (and it requires two hands, your foot and bending down). Don't have time for that when you have a crying baby or just need to get going.

    • Have the same pram and agree with everything you said (e.g. the only con being small basket underneath.

Build quality is good, bought in 2015 and handing it on to my sister next year.

      • Yep, horrible basket size and can be difficult to get anything in or out of it, but otherwise an amazing pram.

We spent a bit more (~$80 posted) and got a pram liner made up for extra comfort.

  • Have a look at the Steelcraft agile. Our original model is only 7kg. Sure, it doesn't feel as luxurious as the baby jogger, but it folds smaller with a similar mechanism and is much lighter. I paid $240 5 years ago.

anyone know where i can get one of those arm bars or tray attachments for cheap? baby bunting has them but they're $50.00 …

  • +1

    Perfect timing, ordered. Thanks OP!

  • When does this expire and also when does the CASHREWARDS expire?

    • +1

CashRewards reverts to 5% by tonight.

  • Great price for a good compact pram, worked well for holidays.

  • Great pram, bought one at this price from the last sale and recd it within 3 days!
Any one after a car seat, the MAXI COSI Vela is on sale too which has excellent reviews.
Comes down to $269 with the increased cashback.

    • How does this MAXI COSI VELA rate?

Also can you remove this from the car and pop it straight onto the Baby Jogger?

      • +1

I believe it used to be called Maxi-Cosi Vela AP before they renamed it which has good reviews here. Cant find this model on childcarseats for safety ratings

  • Bought one! first pram ever. Thanks OP

  • the missus is giving birth in august.. hmm do i wait for a better deal?

    • +1

Wait. The warranty will almost be gone by then

      • ok thanks for the advice, will monitor ozb in the coming months then :)

      • Had ours for 16 months (our boy is now 11months) and sister bought hers a few years ago, neither have even looked like they would have any warranty issues.

Its not electrical, not really much to go wrong and very well built.

If you see a good price, take it.
Else you might be stuck paying $700+ a few weeks before you're due.

        • We had a number of parts on our City Mini GT where the stitching completely failed. Got new parts within a week under warranty.

  • I approve of this pram.

Got ours in 2013, been through 2 kids, multiple overseas trips, abused the hell out of it, and still going strong.

The only thing that broke was the little safety clasp for the harness, which was easily replaced through local distributor.

Takes a fraction of the time in folding vs a Bugaboo.
    Better maneuverability too.

  • Love this pram. Have the 2013 one bought off Amazon on sale when the dollar was high (thanks OzB). Now onto second kid and still going strong 5 years later, no issues with it at all. I've watched friends go through multiple prams because they all had issues but I've never even thought about changing because it's so good. Folds up easily, super manoeuvrable and I can pick it up with one hand.

  • +1

    Just ordered. Thanks OP.
Did a quick search on Gumtree and even second hand ones are going for around $300-$400 so it's a no brainer with a baby due at the end of May next year.
Also saw a few Gumtree ads for the Baby Jogger Elite for around similar price but a quick search shows these to be heavier (and more sturdy?). Anyway, the Mini appears more practical so pretty happy with my purchase.

  • Just bought the Baby Jogger City Tour (Cobalt) from Amazon (saw it in other suggestions) for $239.00 - 10%. Thanks OP!

  • +1

Received mine. Placed an order on Monday, received on Thursday (free shipping). Great pram!! Thanks OP!

  • Did anyone else have problems with cash rewards coming through?
