Reminder that becareful the cash back has to be done within 14 days of purchase. If the shipment delay… You may not be able to get the cashback

    • +5

As long as you get the invoice you should be able to submit your claim. When I submitted mine, there was a checkbox next to the serial number that said something alone the lines of "Drive not yet received". I'm not sure if this just means they acknowledge your claim right away, but await the serial number confirmation though - but either way you should be ok

    • +1

      Isn't it 28 days?

      • -1

I think they must have changed it ..so it is 28 days now…

        • +1

It's always been 28 days. 14 days for them to process the cashback once you've submitted.

Please can you help me find my proof of purchase number? All I got in email was item ID

      • I believe it's with the Invoice which is usually sent when the item is shipped(?)

  • "Each claimant may claim up to one Eligible Claim per Participating Product purchased
only and each Eligible Claimant is entitled to receive up to a maximum of three Gifts per
    household."

    can I get cashback on a 970 m2 and 860 sata?

    • I hope so, I've got claims in for 2 different sizes of 860… they're technically different model numbers…

Out of stock. I missed the deal 😔

    • Back in stock :)

      • +2

        Thank you 😊

    • Just got one, no issues

  • +1

I bought one last 2 weeks from shopping Express ebay , they sent me invoice through email in PDF form , claimed $45 cash back and haven't heard anything yet , I supplied picture of S/N number and invoice .

    • Did you get an email from Samsung? I received a confirmation email as soon as I submitted my claim which had a reference number + website to track it's progress. If you didn't get confirmation, your claim may not have been submitted successfully

    • -1

How can I claim cashback ?

    • Don't worry too much, there's a bit of a delay. I ordered mine on 27th November, and only just got my email from Samsung today.

    • when did you get the invoice? straight after purchase or after delivery

  • +3

    Any 2TB deals?

    • Same seller and same deal works out to be $354.20. Is that a deal? lol

      • NT

      • Link for the 2TB

Somebody should probably add it to this post, appears to be cheapest ever?

  • +5

I got the SSD delivered to my work.
And Samsung just denied my claim because they say I'm a business, not an individual.
    What a scam!

    • +5

did you buy it under a business name?

be aged 18 years old or over and be a natural person (and for clarity not a
company, business or organisation of any description, or an employee of the
Promoter, or a Participating Reseller or any agency associated with this
      Promotion, or any immediate family member of such person);

      • +2

Bought it under my name, but had to put my company's name in the delivery address.

        • +4

          they are being dodgy

    • +4

Same here, they denied my claim due to getting the SSD sent to my work place. Shopping express invoice showing the business name on both billing and delivery address hence Samsung deemed it to be a business purchase. There are lots of people getting stuff sent to work so it's unfair to just denied the claim due to a business name showing on the invoice.

      • +1

Luckily I saw this before ordering as I often have things delivered to the office. At this price its worth the trip to the post office.

      • +1

This is Shopping Express's fault. I didn't put any business name in my billing address. If denied I'm returning the product.

        • +2

Just use white out and cover the business name and scan the paper.

          • @CoreJava: lol. Yeah. I'd already submitted it when I heard this, so…

Honestly, the last time I had to do this sort of thing with TRS I just had the retailer issue the correct Tax Invoice.

    • +1

Tell them you'll be talking to the accc

      • Samsung probably has a de facto employee working in the ACCC (like a lot of big companies). Zoop's call will probably be connected to them.

      • Going to be a class action with all these OzBargainers…..

    • That would suck, I got one of mine delivered to work. :\

Right down the bottom there's a contact email and phone number. You'd think that there has to be someone sensible and reasonable there, explaining it is invoiced to you personally and is for personal use but you got it delivered to your workplace to avoid theft has got to be allowed.

Do let us know how you go, always interesting how these things work out once you find the right person to speak to.

      • Dunno if this means anything yet (eg, have they checked the invoice or not…)

Status of Claim: Awaiting Final Approval

Thank you for registering for the 'Samsung SSD Cash Back Promotion'.

The documents that you have provided have passed the initial validation stage. Your Product's Serial Number will be validated within the next ten (10) business days.

If your Product's Serial Number is deemed invalid, we will contact you via your nominated email address.

If we determine that the retailer you purchased from is not eligible, we will contact you via your nominated email address.

  • +2

Where do I find the proof of purchase number?

    • I believe they just mean the invoice number. That's what I've put, but my claim is still being processed so it might be rejected

      • Thanks, I'm still waiting for the invoice.

  • +2

Thanks OP. Been looking for a 1 TB around $150 for a while

    • Same here. Finally pulled the trigger and bit the bullet!

      • +4

That could have come across as insensitive. My apologies. Didn't intend that at all.

  • +1

In "Reseller Location", do we just have to put the name of the suburb where the shop is?

    • I was thinking 'ebay', but am waiting for invoice to see what address is on it.

      • In the text box itself, it say "Reseller Suburb" so I don't think we have to type in 'ebay'

  • +1

This is a Bargain at this price. Do I need it? Naahh. Do I want it? Naaah. But at this price? Help!

  • Sh*tty of Cashrewards to ditch Ebay cashback. Rip.

  • Why am I getting, "this code cannot be applied to your order"? I'm using PLUGIT20 ? I've logged into Paypal. WTF?

    • Tried FF & Chrome- same thing. Anyone else had this happen?

      • Isn't it an ebay thing, not paypal?

      • Did you buy something from the US or UK lately and forgot to change back to AU?

  • I'm def AU. Dammit— it happened before & I had to contact them. Here it's back, at Xmas!

  • Just noticed— this group isn't in the list of approved sellers for the cashback. Unless I misread something?

    • +1

They are in the list as

      ONLINE CENTRE PTY LTD [ABN 61 087 124 892]

Invoice they provide includes that name and ABN confirmed from invoice I received.

      • Cool- thanks for that.

        ;)

  • Anyone know a good place to get ram? I'm after 16GB DDR3 1600MHz SODIMM (1 X 16GB) but ram is so expensive now.

    • +1

It's $169 at Crucial in the USA. SO, ours is at least not being jacked up. It's just crazy expensive in general.

I find MSY cheapest. Sometimes Newegg has sales. Otherwise, it's Ebay from overseas, unfortunately.

  • +1

TYVM! It's to cheap not to buy it.

  • +1

Thanks OP. All done, delivered yesterday and installed last night.

Works a treat, so much faster than the hdd.

  • With the purchase date. Do we go buy the date we ordered or the date of invoice? I purchased on the 23rd but invoice says 24th.

    • Samsung only see the invoice as the proof of purchase, so in my opinion it's better to use the invoice date to remove any possible confusion.

      • Thank you so much for the swift reply. I will do just that! :D
