Rehoming a Mature Dog - Melbourne

Hi all,

I am hoping there is some people on here who have had some experience in either re homing or adopting a mature dog.
Looking for what services or organisations there are in Melbourne and outer suburbs, to assist with re homing.

I have found a couple via google, but i'm sure there is more around.

      thanks, had a look, looks an option if cannot rehome without signing over to the organisation for them then to find a home. thanks for responding

        Will second Lort Smith. Had a lot to do with Lort Smith when I lived in Melbourne. At least give them a call and ask some questions and get some advice.

    What is the breed of the dog and why are you rehoming it?

      dog is a beaglier, due to child allergies. have you any suggestions? many thanks

        Maybe you could rehome the child to keep the dog’s allergies under control.

        Hi
        We live in Melbourne. Can you please pm me with some more details. Age, medical history any behaviour issues, etc. Can we leave the dog alone when we are at work. Currently we are looking after a relative’s dog until the end of January. We might be interested but earliest could be from the Australia Day long weekend.
