  • Can you get the 3 games from amd?

    • Would probably want to message luke/techfast for that. I wouldn't be surprised if they do.

I didn't get any with mine, but I never asked afterwards (was just AC oddessy at the time so didn't really care).

    • +1

I asked and they did provide

      • But wasn't buying RX 580 only eligible for claiming two of them?

  • +4

Even if all the parts are cheap generic shit, this is an amazing price!
Would be an awesome 1080p - 1440p machine.
    Great first post OP!

    • If you get an Allied PSU please do not risk it at all and buy a new one without any hesitation or second thoughts whatsoever. They're shit and I've seen a user already say that his PSU died (if I remember he said it 'blew up', whether he meant that literally I do not know) Some users have been lucky and received a power supply from brands like thermaltake which while they still got bad models they should be at least safe at the very least.
Hell in this case any 80+ Bronze 450-500w PSU from a reputable brand will do. It will be cheap as hell and can power this system easily.
Bad case is okay, bad ram is sort of ok (remember most users have gotten a single stick of the cheapest RAM) but a bad power supply is not okay.

      • How did this power supplies blow up computers shit start? I don't get it. Power supplies don't blow up computers.

        • I think there is a difference between blow up and blew. I've seen more than one blow. Spark and smoke. I've never seen one explode though haha.

        • +2

I think it started in die hard 4, when a computer virus blew up a computer.

        • Only actual bang we got from an AT power supply. Back in 386, 486, pentium 1 days.

The bare and live power cable was resting on the metal chasis of the power supply. Flicked the switch on the outlet. Then bang. Circuit breaker tripped.

        • Power supplies failing can put big voltage spikes on the power rails. It won't always happen, but power supplies can DEFINITELY blow other components.

      • he said blew up but then said he walked away and PC was off when he came back

so no, he blew up his balls to get some attention here

        • I dont care about attention just making people aware, it wasnt an audible explosion lol that was just an expression, the psu just died, its really not worth risking all of your other parts, so pls buy a decent replacemnt if you buy a pre build, also they left out 3 motherboard screws on my board, which is also pretty dangerous as it could short out the board and the parts connected to it.

      • PSU will be decent if running a lower consumption system. Anything 580+ though I'd advise buying to swap.

*PSU is still an ASAP swap in the first case, just not something you absolutely need to do.

Case (RGB one) isn't to shabby actually. Not the best, but there's been much worse.

RAM'll be fine. Team's seemingly just teamgroup (according to PC part picker anyway), and they're a fairly reputable brand. Worst part's that it's 2400mhz, but that won't matter on intel chips anyway (and will barely matter on Ryzen models). If it's absolutely to bad, with the systems being sold by Techfast you'll be able to sell it for $100 easily (should anyway).

      • I bought this computer from TechFast which spec wise seems similar but with a GTX 1060 instead of the RX 580. I'm quite concerned about the Allied PSU. Would a 80+ Bronze 450-500w PSU be suitable for me to? Are there any specific models you could recommend? All this stuff is pretty new to me.

  • -1
    • Depends. These cards are likely to be blowers so the 1060 will be much quieter and cooler. As someone who used an RX480 blower I definately think that it's a must to undervolt and tweak it or else it will be pretty hot and maybe loud. In terms of performance they're very similar with both cards taking leads in select games. Most people will likely go with the 580 due to freesync and arguably better futureproofing with it's extra vram and AMD 'finewine'.

      • Overall agree. I'd add that if you want emulators (opengl), get the nvidia one.

    • +5

You get Freesync with the RX580, which makes a huge difference in these budget builds. I would personally always go with an RX580/570 with a cheap 144hz freesync monitor at this price range.

      • A used Kogan 144hz monitor can be found on gumtree etc for around $100.. worth it

  • +1

    Nice find :)

  • +1

    Almost console prices.

  • +2

    They jacked this
    They didn't jack this: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Ryzen-5-2600-RX-580-8GB-120GB-SS…

    Seems decent for $72 more.
Not the best monitor but good enough as long as you're sitting directly in front of it.

  • +1

I get occasional program crashes with this. Might be ram related or possibly just software. Probably user error. Apart from that I've had a really good experience with this system so far

    • What brand of the rx580 they give you?

      • +1

The el budgeto one that everyone else seems to get

  • Do they have a Vega offering?

  • Once again, an A320 m\b…must have a big stockpile of them!

  • +1

    Mobo - 60
    Processor - 208
    Ram - 70
    Ssd - 30
    Gpu 270
    Psu 25
    Cheap Case 25
    $688.
Not much bargain. If you add $50-$60 more you get better psu and somewhat good case but if you are not good at building a pc, this is better expect psu.

    • Where are you pulling these prices from? Or are you just making them up? Because each one seems to be a good $20 or so under market value which added together make it another $150ish and therefore this isn't a bad discount.

      • +1

If you visit ozbargain regularly, you can easily get this price mate. Which item do you think is below $20 market value? Besides you get good brand when you buy yourself.

        • OzB is getting razzle dazzled by the two good parts slapped together with cheap stuff at market value.

        • It's also good for someone that doesn't want to spend 2 months sourcing the cheapest parts. Combined you're getting below OZB deals for an excellent CPU, excellent performing mid range GPU (though probably a blower cooler) and adequate everything else.

The only recommendation I would make to anyone buying this is to pick up a second stick of ram.

  • +1

just a quick feedback - mine came with an asus prime with m.2 mobo and 1 stuck g skill ram 2400. the 2 fans in the case are both thermaltake.

swapped the allied psu straight away, biostar gpu running games really well

    • My experience with Biostar has been really good. Motherboard bought in 2011 is still going strong

  • +1

    I have two questions guys.

They will send all the original box together?

It's important to get the CPU,Mobo,GPU box I guess.

and can I claim the warranty for separate parts?

like If I swap the Graphic card with my main PC I will not able to get the warranty from the tech fast as I disassembled original condition but what about just single card?

Can I just contact to the company and claim the warranty?

    Thanks.

  • Anyone having random shutdown of their system?

    • Yep, I'm having this. I don't actually have any case fans in mine though, I'm waiting for mine in the mail. Thing is I'm not actually sure where the case fans will go, as the holes don't allocate correctly for 120mm fans.

    • I am not an expert but many people have had their PSU, the allied versions blow up (not booting up at all since its dead) and i think your ones are starting to fail slowly. Probably best to replace it ASAP. I truly hope its the PSU tho and not anything else since its much easier and cheaper to replace that.

      • Thats usually the sign of a dead/ dying psu, or the psu not able to provide enough wattage, therfore shutsdown to prevent its self frying. (I had this issue before with the RTX 2080 version of the PC, switching the psu solved the pblem
