  • I love a good pork…

    • Well this is a pretty good price so you should make the most of it.

    • Even when it's bad it's good.

      • I don't think jv is referring to pork meat.

  • I miss Aldi’s $10/kg pork ribs

  • +1

Get some pork on your fork.

    Thanks WN.

    • Is the boneless or bone-in more economical — does the bone weigh more or less than 1/6 of the roast?

      • I bought a few loin roast.

Bone in ones look like an off cut after smoked ham production, incomplete pork leg, not good for presentation

  • +1

That's a good price for Grolsch.

If I described a beer as 'great for sharing', you should be suspicious.

    • It’s just a sly way of saying drink responsibly.

Any politician in QLD who wants to change the policy of no alcohol in supermarkets gets my vote.

  • Damn, was hoping the Grolsch was not cans but those swing-top bottles

Gawd, I must be groggy as this morning. I was convinced it was a Pork UGG Boot

  • Any favourite recipes for BBQ or grilled pork?

      1. Marinate in beer.
      2. Apply fire.
      3. Eat.
  • Ahh, yes I feel the pull of the $6kg loin.
Woe, the dread awfulness of going to Aldi.

  • Most if not all of Aldi's pork isn't Australian (Coles/Woolies not much different) :(

    • Not quite true
I thought it was just bone in pork that couldn't be import, but apparently it is all fresh pork. "While all fresh pork is Australian, around 45 per cent of all pork consumed in Australia is imported mostly from countries in Europe or North America. Australia’s import requirements mean that imported pork must be cooked for a certain time and temperature to ensure that any pig diseases present in the meat are rendered inactive. Most of this imported product goes into processed pork (e.g. ham and bacon), with the remainder marketed as pre-cooked pork (e.g. pulled pork or pork ribs). Imported pork makes up around 75 per cent of the processed pork sector."

However good luck finding Australian bacon!

  • Did anyone get the boneless pork for $6 per kg? (Brisbane)
I went today and it was $8 per kg. Not a huge deal but slightly annoying?
