simple fix. use any DNS server other than TPG's, which you should be anyway. TPG's dns is awful
Pretty easy to circumvent. DNS blocking only stops the technically inept. I guess that covers the majority of people though.

What about phones?
I've used Frostman's DNS Changer on Android so I don't have to root the phone. It circumvents the restrictions by simulating a VPN within your phone.
You'll have to clear the cache in your browser of choice (also clears DNS cache on Android) to avoid previous re-routes.

That list is pretty much anime sites. That’s why use Optus or some other device they won’t be like tpg.

While we're on the subject, can anyone on TPG check this site out for me please? I seem to be getting a time out error on Firefox….but using a VPN works as well as going to different forum sections but I can't get pass the time out error without using a VPN….

Works after DNS change, on FF.
It worked once but after that it just times out when trying to access another area……

I just had a whole bunch of the website i used blocked (Im with telstra)
i followed these instructions to change DNS server and now its fine again
edit: 1.1.1.1/1.0.0.1 websites are still blocked
only 8.8.8.8/8.4.4.8 works for me
edit 5 mins after, all websites are blocked again WTF
I hear ya, I had a site that had a banner up saying something about "aussie users" and never clicked on it.

DNS just converts a sites name (eg http://boards.4chan.org/) into a number . The Australian government passed legislation years ago forcing ISP's to log every website you visit, and the government can easily access that log. Only by using a VPN or Tor can you avoid being spied upon.
