80

Choose between 40 x AA or 40 x AAA alkaline batteries.
•Genuine Duracell Ultra alkaline batteries
•Batteries are packed in generic plastic packaging

Not a bad price but still cheap considering the qualities of these batteries. I'd say dont get the AAA as you should have got the HN bargain.

It'll take over a week for the batteries to get to you so dont expect it anytime soon if you do buy.

Duracells are better than Energizer, Ultras are even better….plus you know these still have a long shelf life left….

That said if people feel they need 40, why not consider Eneloops???

    • but they would cost as much for err 8 of them approx
And some people really don't know how to take care of the batteries.ie leaving them in the sun, using the crappiest 10 year old charger possible and general usage that causes discharges.

All in All eneloops rock but they are not cheap

      • Any recommendations on where to purchase eneloops at a decent price?

      • Well you would get 4 and a charger for $30. Another 4 is only $20.

Sure the initial cost might be higher, but Eneloops will last longer than a Alkaline cell and can be recharged upto 1000 times. So put into that perspective they are cheaper not dearer lol/

I would not say over 1 week for the delivery. In my case, it's over 1 month just for the order to process. Not a bad deal though

  • Can you use energizer charger on the eneloops?

    • As long as it says it charges Ni-MH batteries I don't see why it would be a problem but (from DSE) 4x AA's are $21.99 and 4x AA's + a charger is $29.99 so it might just be worth the $8 buying one of the bundle packs rather than risking it IMO.

I've stoped buying disposable batteries now since I have about 16x AA and 10x AAA. They just work so well and hold a charge for AGES.
I use them in my Maglites, most of my camping gear, weather station, RC toys, cameras, etc and they power them for longer and better than disposable batteries do.

    • yes you can but if you going to invest heavily in eneloops or other similar batteries then get something like these
      high performance chargers

      • What's the advantage in using those chargers over the Sanyo/Eneloop ones? I've not seen them before so I don't know much about them.

  • Yeah, I've already got a couple of energizer chargers…so htought as long as I can use them that'd be good.

It does take like 12 hours to charge a battery though!

  • gees that's cheap I missed out
