Expected to pay $110-$157.95 in Australia.
Please read the reviews before purchase. It has got good reviews but it's not the best one in the market.

I got the Drinkwell Platinum which is considered as the best but lost the pump when I moved home. My dog would only drink from the waterfall when I was watching (telling me i didn't waste my money?), bought the drinkwell 360 last night for my new kitten. I think it's more helpful for cats as it can help to prevent cat urinary tract infection.

I also got some filters, the 3-pack retails for $20+ in Australia, and it's $8.7 USD from Amazon. The filter is to be replaced in 2-4weeks.

I have ordered the fountain, 4 of 3-pack filters and Dyson Grooming tool (USD 69.67 in Amazon, can get it in Au for $78 from powerbuys which may be cheaper if you buy it alone),shipping is USD 28.47, paid USD 171.44 in total by my 28degree card, expecting to pay around AUD 165.

I also put only the fountain in shopping cart, the shipping was calculated as USD 16.02, USD 54.52 in total, it will be AU$53.9 if you use Amazon currency convertion, or you can use 28degree to get better exchange rate.

I think only products with seller as "Amazo.com" can be shipped to Australia. I'm still hunting for good deals there! Please post if you find any! Cheers!

well you obviously don't love your pet as much as YTS loves theirs!

my dog has been investing the savings in Eukanuba shares…

You may want to check the dogfood analyse website. I personally prefer feed my dog the natural dog food rather than commercial ones, they're similar prices as commercial ones some are even cheaper (e.g Canidae), with much better ingredients.

        • Eukanuba is one of the best foods available for your dog! Forget about the crap like Sciece Diet…. main incredients are vegetables and cereals, not meat. My vet also recommends natural dog food (as in fresh meat, uncooked bones, rice etc), but never wet soft food from a can. Eukanuba is awesome dry food for your dog. If in doubt do a little research online… natural is best of course, but there's a lot to be afraid of in some commercial dog food like Pedegree and Science Diet. Very bad for your dog.

    • I got one of these when my dog was a puppy, changed to the ceramic one as it's easier to clean and stored more water (compare with same diameter. I think those ones are enough for dogs.
As I said, this fountain can help to prevent urinary tract infection in cats, my friend's cat was sent to emergency due to the infection and cost them $2000+, and it gave the cat so much pain. I'd rather to spend hundreds to keep my cat away from it :)
And another reason to buy, it stores 2L+ of water, good for hot weather!

      • Let me prefice and state that I have 2 cats. I change their water dish every day or every other day. Just curious to why this would prevent urinary tract infection? Surely water is water?

Water is water - but some cats are fussy and won't drink. One of my cats prefers fresh flowing water and the other doesn't care. If your cats drink water frequently you are fine.

      • I like the idea but I'm not a fan of the filter replacements. Our cat jumps in the bathtub when she is thirsty and we turn that on for her to drink out of…

        • I'm planning to refill the water with filtered water when these filters runs out. I noticed my new kitten doesn't drink a lot, to attract him to drink more water is the main reason. Some people did remove the filter from this fountain and found the water flows better :)

    • Did you borrow it from outside the library?

    • +1

lol I too splashed out and bought a stainless one with a rubber ring to stop it slipping on the tiles. But alas, my dog prefers to drink out of the bucket full of rainwater in the garden. FML.

my cats fussy and needs water changes often

and it has to be filtered water from the fridge

so this could definetely be of use to some cat owner

lol I never knew some cats didn't drink enough water.

    • +2

      i thought cats drank milk…

  • Looks like you guys hurt the OP's feeling. He's retracting the post nao!

ps: I have a cat. I use a $2 bowl. If i have 3 cats, i'll still get 3 x $2 bowl. Unless my cat tells me she wants running water.

  • I don't think you should delete your thread just because someone would prefer to use a bowl. This product would always have a limited audience.

This might be just what someones kitty cat needs. In fact I actually learnt something from this post and would prefer to avoid any vet issues.

  • Great! just what my cat need.

  • +2

Can you use this fountain for melted chocolate ???

  • OP(YTS) don't get upset, they are just kidding!
I learned something from this thread for my cat,
so I know where/what to look for when my cat didn't drink enough water

at least…you didn't get any Negative vote in this thread!
I posted an Airline bargain earlier & get Negative vote
just because that person complaint that I didn't put "it is limited seats available"
there're person like this on the internet, don't get upset and you should ignore them.

  • These are useless. For outside cats and dogs I can see a lot of use out of one of these though.
