For those who use MYOB AccountRight Standard to manage their books this seems a great deal.
Currently I pay $69 a month for the privileged, so $199 for a 12 month subscription is a no-brainer!
Delivery came up as $11 for me, YMMV.
Why is that? Care to share?
Slow, UI design from windows 95 (even the new version keeps the same structures), inconsistent use of tabs movement and popups. Simple things like you STILL can't search for the Name of an account but need to remember the number even though in the list it shows the name and number (ie "1-1234 labor" I mean I love memorising 200 4 digit sequences as much as the next guy but still). Multiple users was always a pain used to hang and need a service restart all the time. The new cloud seems to fix that a bit but now it is even slower. I'm a developer so I have also had the pleasure of working with the API to integrate some of our tools into billing actions, back in 2015 they did an IPO and there was some way for developers to get in on it - I kept well away because back then I could see Xero and Quickbooks eating MYOBs lunch as more cloud based services became acceptable for accounting business. They are kind-of "cloud" now but a long way off parity for service, speed and UI still. Along that line if you use cloud based software MYOB seems to be the last one anyone hooks into so if you use that system you are more limited.
The only reason it seems to me its still used is because a lot of bookkeepers and accountant 'know' this system and they are not ones for change.

Semi-online is very slow and online MYOB was the worst.
You just feel sorry about how MYOB was stuck in the old day with the version number. ..
You can change it in Preferences to select Accounts by name, not account code!
MYOB was okay when it was still usable offline.
When they kept forcing us to update to their cloud/semi-cloud version, we gave in.
Now we hate it so much. Super slow. Like extremely slow.
If you start a new business, use Xero or other cloud alternatives instead.
Never buy MYOB please. I can't say for the 100% cloud based MYOB Essentials? though.
Can you use this to extend an existing monthly subscription?
MYOB software is just the worst.
