    From the product page:

    Important information

    Safety Warning: Yes

    • Better than no imo

    • I think it meant, it includes the safety warning pamphlet in the box.

Thank God otherwise I wouldn't know what to dl

  • is it grey stock ?

    • +1

Sold directly by amazon au so should be local stock

      • so i believe 2 yrs warranty ?

    $1.3K for a phone, wtf?

    • +19

Where have you been for the past 5 years?

      • I bought my S6 for $688 3yrs ago.

        • +2

That sounds you have quite a deal but S6 launched at $999(32gb), $1149(64gb) and $1299(128gb)

This phone launched at $1599 less than 2 months ago and $300 drop seems pretty alright?

    • This one has in display fingerprint sensor

  • +1

Do they provide quick warranty for glue gate?

I would expect instant swap with brand new model.

    • +2

Should be no problem since direct from Amazon au. Not to mention the new batch after November 21st does not have the screen issue.

Mine is batch November 22 and all good.

      • I heard the boe screen isn't as good as the LG. But the LG has the green screen issue.

        • +1

Only on the first batch of LG, from there its been fine.

      • In that case this should be the best phone of the year.

  • If this is the USA model, you may want to check if it has all the required LTE bands for Australia

    • +1

LYA-L29 is the international model that supports all bands.

  • Expired? Now at $1442

    I'm always too slow :(

    • Only going to be 1 year warranty from Amazon, just wait for it from Allphones when they have there 20% off sale on ebay and get it for a similar price with 2 year Australian warranty.

    • +1

You need the single sim or dual sim? You can get the single sim on ebay plus for 20% off for around the $1274.39 price with free shipping. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Au-Stock-Huawei-Mate-20-Pro-Sing…

      • +1

No eBay cashback though so Amazon still the better deal.

    • +1

Still showing $1283.19 for me. I’be got Amazon Prime so not sure if that makes any difference?

      • No one confirmed if this has 1 year or 2 as yet? If this is an oversea model then the Allphones would be a better deal as it has 2 years Australian warranty.

        • If it’s sold through Amazon AU then it should be covered under ACL regardless, like how Apple officially gives 1 year warranty but ACL essentially makes it covered for longer than that.

      • ok looks like it's gone back.. weird.

Though still unsure if I should grab this or not, with some of you guys recommending to wait for Allphones sale

        • Wait for Allphones, unless you can message them and know its Australian stock on Amazon, does the colour bother you? are you after the single sim or dual sim or does not matter?

          • @cr12330: Dunno, I haven't needed a dual sim in the past but it might come in handy. Are there any other differences in the versions?
Colour doesn't really bother me too much as I'll just put a case straight on it.

Warranty would be nice but I've never made use of one in my life…. But you never know right?

            • @DN38416: The single sim version model LYA-L09, its slow with the latest update, the dual sim i think already has an update already, Optus thinks it will happen early next year.

If you can confirm with Amazon with the seller Huawei that your getting 2 years jump on that deal, because the cash back is good from Shopback.

Once you purchase the item you go to this website to check to see if the serial number said 2 years warranty in Australia.

              https://consumer.huawei.com/au/support/warranty-query/

            • @DN38416: I was the same as you until my experience recently with the Google Pixel 2 XL. Love the phone but I'm on my third one within one year :) so I would highly recommend warranty with these 1k+ phones.

          • @cr12330: do you have any more details about the Allphones deal ? keen to buy but this one has already gone back up in price :(

            • @tariqsaleem: Just sold out from Allphones sorry but they might put in more stocks Today, just keep checking.

Its the Single sim version in black only. you can use the 20% off code until the 28th of December - 20% off with code PLUGIT20. Ends 28/12. T&Cs apply.

              https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Au-Stock-Huawei-Mate-20-Pro-Sing…

If your with ebay plus, you get to have free shipping and free returns with it.

The Single sim phone can still use the nano memory card which is expensive at the moment but the highest is 256gb.

The only thing with the Single Sim phone is the Australia version has not release an update as well so your using the Emui 9 from the box which would be Current version 9.0.0.122, the international version already has an update already, I heard from the XDA forum that it won't be an update until Jan 2019, this update will make the finger print and face ID better plus tracking on camera modes and more sable camera pictures going forward.

            • @tariqsaleem: I'll let you know if I see anything in the future tho.

        • I tried to find the emailing button on Amazon but could not find it.

        • It said that it sold by Huawei, so maybe email them in Australia i and see if its them or not.

  • This looks like being sold by Mobiciti on Amazon, looks like they reply to the 24 months questions on there. So just keeping checking Amazon and ebay for the best prices for both Dual and single sim phones.

  • So I ended up going with this deal (before the cash rewards increase unfortunately).
Received my phone today and loving it so far!
Serial is an 18C, has a BOE screen.
Also, checked the serial in that website linked above and it has a 2 year warranty.
