Yeah I though there might be a 4K model coming… 1080P is okay but 4K would be fantastic. Wonder the price on the 4K though?
EDIT: Quick lazy fleabay check suggests the 4K is around double the price of 1080p. I wonder if they'll all play together or do you need the 4K base unit? Some areas will not need 4K as much as others. Hmmm any experience with these someone?

Yes. Ultra can connect to an existing Arlo Base Station as well as existing outdoor security mounts. It is not backwards compatible with previous generation Arlo batteries.

Yep can confirm it pairs just fine even with the 1st gen base station. Plus I can get audio now as well!
Buy a Yi camera for $40.. $190 for a 1080p camera on 2018 is a ripoff
My Yi camera has accumulated into a junk pile now, after recent update made it to speak in chinese and not monitoring my home anymore.
Not to mention, my Yi keeps going offline - and having to reset every few days.
Sometimes the premium of it just works outweighs the cost.
The Arlos just work out of the box and coupled with the cloud saving it’s worth all the cents I spent on it.
That's a great price. It was same price at Harvey Norman not too long ago - wonder if that signals a trend
