  • Sigh, was waiting for this to go on sale, but my dad bought me a Kenwood one for Xmas…which I already installed :(

Oh well, you didn't pay for it, so no real loss ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

True. But this one is dual channel and probably better overall. C'est la vie

  • This dashcam is really good,, using this for few months now.. even today inside my car was 45C, had no issues.. bought it from somewhere else for almost the same price..

    • hows the night cam on this? an how close u have to be to read the number plate?

  • Thanks bought 2. Any tips for hard wiring?

  • Cable to rear camera is 6m long. Is this long enough?

    • Should be. But how long is long enough? You could get a piece of string and place it through your vehicle along the intended path, then measure the string to see.

    • How long is the roof of your car?

Unless you have a 9m long station wagon why wouldn't it be long enough?

I love how it says the camera will shut down at 90C. I imagine at that stage the driver isn't really caring if the camera is operational or not…

  • Does the rear camera need to adhere to the rear windscreen? My car's got a rear window blind which has about a 3cm clearance from the window, will the camera fit in that gap or can I affix it to the roof of the car otherwise?

  • I have this on my car and survived today Melbourne's 36C-42C outside temperature. It was still on when it reaches 85C inside the car but I haven't checked the files whether it was recording properly or not.

My advice is look for any problems with this particular model. I got mine with its hardwire kit and sometimes it still on parking mode instead of driving mode.

I'll see in a few days otherwise I'll return this.

  • Is it a bargain?
