  • Did you buy instore?

    • It's not available online

Same TV as Blu-ray bundle so hardly any stock in stores.

    • Yer no one has it in stock locally for me - Robina & Burleigh - Gold Coast

  • Does it have a VGA port so I can use it for a Monitor? How does it go at a monitor, anyone know?

    • -1

You would have to get a HDMI to VGA cable or HDMI to DVI cable, whichever your computer supports.. For it being a monitor, you would be fine for games, movies and abit of casual browsing. But due to having only 19201080 pixels, do expect them to be abit stretched compared to a real 30" monitor having 26501600 pixels.

You would have to get a HDMI to VGA cable

Chances are this will not work unless you know that your video card can output a digital video signal using the VGA output.

        HDMI to DVI cable

HDMI and DVI are the same. The only difference is DVI does not carry sound so you can always change between DVI and HDMI.

Using a HDMI/DVI cable or converter will let you use the TV as a computer monitor but as you said the resolution is lower than a computer monitor.

I guess in theory they would appear stretched, but in reality, it is perfectly fine for use as a monitor. I should know since I'm using it as one right now =)

        • +2

It is not that the image will be stretched but that the TV has less pixels meaning that the image will not look as sharp.

This means that on the TV there is more of an empty space between each individual pixel compared to the PC monitor.

An example would be the iphone.
The older iphones are the TV and the iphone 4 is the computer monitor.
Even though the screens are the same size the iphone 4 has a higher resolution which means that the screen looks better than the older screens.

I have this TV, and yes, it does have a VGA port. So no need for the converter cables suggested.

    • Yes it does have a VGA port (HD15)… Check the specs http://www.sony.com.au/product/kdl-32ex400

I cant believe they still put VGA on TVs.
use a DVI to HDMI adapter the picture quality will be FAR better

No receipt, no information on what store, what state. Is this a negotiated price or advertised in store?

    • +1

It is advertised online, they have lots of specials started today by the looks

Nice Price! Too bad sold out by the look of it!

  • Just rang Sony and they said all their LCDs change channels slowly. Love the set but it's a bit annoying compared to a set top box that changes immediately vs about 2 seconds for ours.

    • +6

      2 seconds?!

      • bahahhahah nice video

      • I hate it when my aeroplane wireless internet goes slow, especially whilst checking ozbargain on the can! :P

  • Anyone confirm any stores actually have this in stock?

    • +1

Online only special. Price in store may differ

But the website now says that the TV is out of stock

      • -1

        Currently unavailable online.

Seems it never was in stock then.

  • Few stores have them but it is only an online deal?

  • +1

Again, says online special only, followed by - not available online.

    • yeah i think it full of BS, i call liverpool, bonnyrigg, wetherill park, fairfield they say they dont have any sony 32 for that price

  • Available all around my area just lists low stock to call for the stores that come up say 10 stores or so.

    • So what is the price in store?

      • -3

        Read the title.

        • +1

I asked "in store", as someone above said "Online only special. Price in store may differ". So i don't think anyone has answered it yet.

At least it is still available online. Will try Eastland tonight.

      Isn't Full HD though.

    • Yep, good find, the LG is only 720p but has 3yr warranty vs the Sony's 1 yr warranty. At this screen size the Sony's 1920x1080 resolution is not a big advantage unless you plan to use it as a PC monitor.

    • hi vince, did you end up getting the 32ld350?

ive noticed an issue with the epg and was wondering whether you may or may not hav aswell. it doesnt seem to load epg data for all channels, only ones which have been viewed in the current session.

  • i called my local store and it was $598

  • There is no unit in Australia selling at $356. Pricing error or they changed their mind real quick.

  • Here are the specs for this model from the Sony AU website:
    http://www.sony.com.au/product/kdl-32ex400

  • Big W has sooooooo many pricing errors its becoming a joke and wasting everyones time

  • Goddamn it leeroy… on hold for 5 minutes only to be told it's $598

    marion, SA

  • echo echo
