Hi all,

Surprised no-one's put this up yet! Went and picked up a copy of the Herald Sun just to see if the weekly deal was still on - phew.

Anyway, you know the routine by now. Page 20 of the TV pullout in the Wednesday's copy of the Herald Sun. Take it to Dan Murphy's / First Choice and get a pricematch :)

I believe The Age also get the ad in Thursday's paper (someone may need to confirm this).

    So im guessing Dans won't have any Corona slabs on display for price matching as of tonight. They magically didn't have any slabs of either Asahi or Peroni last time these guys had the $30 specials, but slabs magically appeared after the sales ended.

      Selling Corona at $30, Dan's apparantly loses $10 on each case so many stores take them out back on Wednesday mornings before they open. I understand they are a business trying to make money, but they've created this "problem" by promising to beat any advertised price. Very poor to pull stock off the shelf when they are undersold.

      I bet every Dans mysteriously has a full pallet of Coronas on Friday morning, just in time for the deal to end.

    I find First Choice to be more honorable. Dan Murphys Doncaster is a disgrace-always "sold out" the day of these deals.

    Thanks for posting, completely forgot to check the paper today, but did bring a copy home from the office and the deal is valid for Thursday, so will go there tomorrow. Down to the last few Corona's from last time.

    I have never had a problem going to DM on Dandenong Rd in East Malvern. Although sometimes need to dig into the back of the fridge ;-)

    No luck again. Don't know why I got my hopes up, they're such dogs.

    You could even CLEARLY see the space where the Coronas had been. They cleared the individual 6 packs out of the fridge as well.

    I ask the guy when they are expecting new stock and he goes "Oh should be tomorrow. Maybe, I'm not sure. Try another store. But call them first."

    Sigh.

    Got mine at South Melbourne at about Midday.

    They were suspiciously on a large trolley, I don't know if they were about to go away somewhere or if they were just there for everyone to see. I'm thinking the former!

    lol this is the reason i saw 5 people walk out of 1st Choice liquor with Corona boxes on their shoulders… should of known!
