    • Any chance you're in North Queensland?

      • +1

Yeah, at Toowong. One problem is the grip size though. Needs to be the same

        • Toowong is probably a bit far sorry mate.

    • Hey tkcrule, tried to message you but doesn't seem to work? I'm in Brisbane and would be interested in splitting this with you if you want to message me!

      • What grip size are you after ?

        • Hi I'm in South Brisbane and I am also interested in the racquet. I prefer 3/8 size. Please message me if you are interested in this.

          • @bkkim: Same , I prefer 3/8 too. It seems I couldn’t message you though ?

  • +9

This is quite a heavy racquet to play with and is more suited to an advanced player. Buying this will probably not make you play like Roger Federer. Buy the racquet that suits your game style!

  • +1

Looks like its a cosmetic update to the previous version

Quite a coincidence that I was looking for these racquets just today
I borrowed one from a friend and played with them this afternoon for 3hrs. They felt pretty awesome, big groundstrokes and big serves
My arms were pretty tired by the end but nothing bit of gyming shouldn't fix lol :)

    • Yeah this is just a cosmetic update from the all black version!

  • +5

    thanks bought 5

    • +2

didn't get a free one with the 3rd purchase?

    • +2
      • I also do this to test the toughness of the frame. Still can't find one that won't break.

  • +1

Why do I want a ball boy's autograph on my racket? I don't get tennis

  • What's the point of a racquet without strings?

    • +6

Tennis enthusiasts who purchase this racquet prefer to choose their own specific strings.

      • +2

They also prefer to have the tension of the strings set to their type of play. The stronger the player often the less tension so it gives them a split second more time to deal with the stroke as the strings will flex a bit more. However it really comes down to personal preference. The more you play and the better you get you will notice a difference between the string tensionand also the string pattern.

    • Less wind resistance and better aerodynamics

    • Similar to bikes coming without pedals.

      1. you might be concerned that the Strings will get weakened/stretched in transit
      2. you might have a guy at your club who strings them cheaply, or who you want to help support
  • Awesome price! I paid $320 for the previous model earlier this year.

  • +3

    Price is great. No doubt.
I have played with this racquet and sold it later. Head size is just 97. Weight is massive 350 g. That is a bit too heavy.

If you are like Federer then yes, go for it. Otherwise, tennis elbow will be served :)

    • A stiff frame, high tension poly strings and bad technique will give you tennis elbow long before a heavy frame will.
Having said that this frame is moderately stiff at an ra value of 68

    7$ at big w

    • haha !!

      • Anyone in Kellyville area want to go half’s in a 3/8?

  • Anyone in Melbourne interested in halves?

    • I would be. I think I'm a half size.

  • +2

this deal also available at tennisdirect.com.au aswell :)

    • Cheers! Added to description

    • Thanks for that!
I found also tennisdirect sell them single for $199. I prefer that option as I'm not sure I will love this racquet

  • Added 2 to cart selected "unstrung" still coming up as $418, is there anything else I am meant to do?

    • Not sure mate, I just checked and it still works for me showing $300 for two. If you can't get it to work Pretzel has found the same deal at tennisdirect.com.au and I have put the link in description.

  • Anyone in Sydney wanna go halves - size 4 1/2

    • Hi, I could be. I am just trying to work out my grip size. I will let you know shortly.

  • +1

Anyone in Melbourne interested in going halves - 4 3/8

    • I'm interested. I'm in sunshine west if that's within reasonable distance to you

  • Ive just emailed federer to see if he wants to go halves on one…..

  • Anyone else in Syd want to share?

    • Hi, yes I could be. What size grip are you? We have to get the same I think. I messaged digitalane above but have not had a reply.

  • Would this be suitable for women as well? A lot of reviews say its very heavy so assuming it might not be but any insight would be great.

    • +1

Yes, it could be suitable for anyone really - it all comes down to the preferences of the individual player. 340grm unstrung weight is heavy, which is why this racquet is recommended for experienced players (i.e. I wouldn't get this for someone who is learning, or for a first racquet). If you have a full swing action and are willing to put a bit of extra effort in to manoeuvre a heavy frame, this racquet should be rewarding. If you have any further questions I can try my best to answer :)

There's a video in the tennis warehouse review which I added to the post description which has both genders play testing the racquet and giving feedback.

Basically you're never going to know if a racquet suits you until you have a hit with it. Hope this helps!

      • wow thanks so much for the detailed response! I've played on and off for years but I wouldn't exactly say I'm good so not sure if I should give it a go.

    • probably not. unless she is very experienced, she will struggle. Its better to get lighter and more powerful racquets. If she was a regular player, she'd know which racquet suits her anyway

  • Anyone in Sydney wanna go halves? - grip size 4 1/4

I'm located in Greenwich - lower north shore

    • I'm interested, in north sydney

  • Thanks op. Great deal. Yes it's heavy but it's a very balanced racquet. Looking forward to trying this. At this price this is a steal.
