Kambrook 600ml Blitz2Go Bottles for $5 (+ Shipping or Free Click & Collect) @ Harvey Norman

450

Haven't used it personally but product review (on HN, TGG) seem to be positive. Not quite sure if one must have the compatible KBL20 blender or whether one can simply use them as a regular carry on bottle for outdoor activities. Will be good to see other OzBargain users reviews if anyone here have used it.
Price hipster comparison shows typical price around $18-20 so $5 looks like a bargain. Interestingly, 300ml version is for $8 even at HN.

I have the blender. The bottles can definitely be used on its own. Don’t see why you would want to though, when I wash it and water gets stuck in it overnight, it’d have a rancid smell

    • Mine to. Found out that it is best to rinse as soon as possible after drinking/emptying contents then fill the container with some warm water and as much as a tablespoon of baking soda. Pre rinse/scrub with detergent for even better results. Put the lid on, leave overnight and you should be good there after. If you mix while connected to the blade unit you can leave that connected from time to time if you wanted to. If you pour the contents down the drain just before you leave for the day it will help to control drain doors… should there be any said drain odours.
I quite like the blender myself. Still going strong & I often throw in an ice cube to get instantly cool drinks. I'm the only one in the house that uses it (my little secret) so don't really have a need for extra bottles. Suppose the one I've got could develop a crack as I use it quite regularly. Can't see it happening for a long time though as is very sturdy IMO. Well made little unit!

    • The problem may be in the lid. If you've never done it, remove the rubber gasket that lives in the lid and sterilise the bottle/gasket. Make sure you don't scratch the plastic in the lid when taking it out.

Don't use any abrasives to clean them.

The bottles as bottles are not super great. It has a tight seal for the pop up tab so you can confirm you close it before stashing it in your bag but there's a lot of nooks and crannies in the lid where if you like blending up fruit smoothies, food stuffs can congeal in these places where you have to get a brush to scrub them out. Ideally, I'd like something I can dump hot water in and clean it easily.

  • I am using these bottles with Kmart mix n go.

  • The bottles are pretty rubbish - but if you have an existing blender that requires this type of bottle sounds like a bargain. I had to chase replacement bottles a couple of months ago - use them daily - hard to find now - don’t think the blenders (Kambrook, Breville etc all had similar ones) are still in production. Bottles probably end of line.
