This is the lamp that I choose to have on my desk, the rotating head makes it easy to direct the lamp so the light is just right and won't produce glare on my computer Monitor. The touch controls are great, my only complaint would be you have to keep your finger on the button for a couple of seconds to turn it off.

Of all the lamps this is the one I thought I would have the least use for but it has come in very handy due to its inbuilt battery while I tried to complete my end-of-year tasks, including tidying up cords for PCs & Entertainment systems and some cupboards and sorting out some stuff in the shed. It was much easier than using a torch. I live in SA and summer black-outs are common so I keep this plugged in and ready to go.

      According to the information I have they both produce around 400 lumens

      They both have a slide for changing brightness The DL13 has a button you have to tap to get the colour temp you want but the DL19 has separate buttons for colour temps.

      The DL19 also has a timer function and is much weightier than the DL13.

    For the VA-DL31 is it fairly easy to find replacement LEDs?

      There are no replacement LEDs but they are supposed to last for 50,000 Hours.

      If there is an issue it comes with a standard 18 months warranty plus a bonus 12 months if you register it at www.vava.com

      Great question.

      It's really disappointing for our society that we have disposable everything. I'm sure it wouldn't cost that much more to use standardized bulbs.

      50k hrs is one thing, but I've had lots of led bulbs, (even Philips) die in a year or two with very light use.

        Can you reconfirm this for DL19. All of the photos show that the head latch only swivels up and down 135 degrees. The arm base latch swivels up to 145 degrees. However I can't see anything which shows it swivels sideways ( the DL13 has a 90 degree turn at the base and a 45 degree turn of the lamp

        A 12 months warranty is pretty standard, even from larger brands.

        But TaoTronics products come with a free extended warranty for registering the product.

        For example, the DL13 comes with a 12+18month warranty. That's a total of 2.5 years.

    Thanks Xev. Appreciate all the extra effort you're taking, especially to provide your own feedback. I ordered the DL13 from the last sale for xmas. I am really pleased with the light it provides. No glare and the swivel head is fantastic, as is the usb charging port. I do agree, holding down the power button for a few seconds is annoying. The base is also a lot larger than it looks (obviously good stability wise) but it does take up a lot of room on my small desk. While it may not be absolutely perfect, it is a great lamp (I'd give 4.5/5) and I will hopefully be purchasing another TaoTronics lamp later in the year and definitely more products from the Sun Valley Group.

    Just wondering is there a major difference betewen DL032 7W LED Desk Lamp and the TT-DL13 14W LED Desk Lamp In terms of brightness or glare. I dun care much for the USB charging port so the former is enough for me, just worried about the light. Which you recommend better for reading mobile phone screens and iPad at night? And can the DL032 run on AA batteries?

      Hey Mate, the DL32 has an inbuilt battery so no worries there.

      The DL13 produces 410 lumens while the DL032 produces 258 lumens.

      Though, I rarely use the DL13 at full brightness for desk use, even for reading, unless I am working on something fiddly.
