Cracker deal for what is an extrodinary watch. YMMV with looks but I love the design - a sort-of homage to the ripley/bishop, with the offset dial and the incredible lightness. It's also not as bulky on the wrist as you'd think.

Still RRP'ing for $5.3k at the seiko boutique.

Yes it's a $1.9k watch, so make it your birthday, easter and christmas present. do iiiiiitttt.

NB: there's no lume and the buckle scratches easily.

NNB: apparently last 6 in the country.

        It truly is. Look Astrons are top tier in craftmanship. They are no doubt marketed in the same tier as GS by Seiko. However, to spend so much money, you really need to truly and beyond love that watch upon purchase. It helps if the design reflects the price tag.

    Astron has a perpetual calendar that will not need to be manually corrected until February 28, 2100.

      All depends on size of the mortgage (or mortgages) and other financial commitment. High household income does not necessary mean high disposable income.

      Ie. Household income of 500k (post tax app 300k) with 3 kids in private school (38k x 3) with a sizeable mortgage will not have the disposable income of a grad on $70k with no financial commitment. (Unless if it's a Westpac grad).

        Then watch grey sellers should be banned. The reason why you get Rolex at discount prices through Jomashop is they buy unsold inventory. For some brands, that's <10 for a particular model. They just don't disclose the numbers.

        IMO, the answer is it depends. Because of the high entry costs, having stock <10 means those who are serious about this bargain get a very good chance at buying.
