perfect beer for tomorow in Melb!

Oh lord…..that will be nasty. Put them on the bottom shelf.

      • oh.. wait.. we have a heckler ladies and gentlemen

    • Whats the difference between Pale Ale and Summer Ale?

      • The summer ale is a bit fruitier (more hop flavouring like an American PA), the PA is more malt driven like a traditional PA. If that makes sense?

        • ahh thanks, I like fruity beers. Will pick some up on the way back home.

  • Shame I've got a no drinking 2019 resolution on a new year day

    • +11

      Sounds unpleasant.

Couldn't you go with something like " eat more vegetables"?

      • +8

        Hops is a vegetable..right?

        • +3

          Like your thinking

    • +2

Good job. You stick with it. Leaves more beer for me.

    • +2

But did you specify exactly what you wouldn't be drinking…

  • +2

The Oettinger Case is showing as $30 in WA.

Don't forget CR or SB for 33cents cashback (yes, 1%). Think of it as your first sip free.

    • +1

      I got my $0.38 from CR :)

    • +2

And the 5% off wish gift card too ;)

      • +1

Yeah, I bought a $33 wishcard for $31.35. First Beer Free!

Not sure if the additional 1% applies when paying with a giftcard.

The 5% off is an immediate discount, not a cashback.

Took an hour for the card appear in my inbox after paying.

        • +1

I've had cashrewards both approved and denied paying via giftcard so who knows, can't hurt to give it a crack though.

  • ordered, VIC $30. thanks op

  • Bloody magnificent deal, thanks OP!

  • Oooh Kopparberg is not bad ~$1.6 per bottle or can in Apple or Pear

    • I'm seeing these at $1.89 per can from a 10 or 20 case in Sydney… is that price in store only?

Edit: ignore me.. need to login!

  • +1

Very good price for a mediocre but drinkable beer

    • You get what you pay for I think. Was better when the 500ml cans were like $40 a slab.

  • Bought one:)

  • Thx - Grabbed 3 x 6 packs of Matso's for $60. Yum! :P

  • Man I remember when this used to be $24. Cheapest beer

    Tastes like balls though

  • +1

Can anyone tell me if this Oettinger is any good?
("any good" being extremely suggestive, as there are some people who like to drink crap like Fosters… yes, I know one guy!)

    • +1

Bought a case last week. You can taste the Malt brew. It is acquired taste but very light on the head. Prefer this over a lot of other local brews.

It has a really bad name in Europe according to my Dutch mate who says only the homeless drink it. Although I think it's a very drinkable beer, and I much prefer it over the Aussie standards; VB, Carlton, and New. Great beer for the price.

      • Is no worse than Heineken imo but that's hardly an endorsement because H has its own level of mediocrity.

    • Am German, it's also known as homeless beer. Wouldn't drink if if you paid me.

  • Have to admit, I'm not a big drinker. How much do you guys rack up in a year on alcohol alone?

  • Still no legit craft beer offers…

  • Let me finish my 20 can of 5s first :)

  • $30 for me , thanks op!

  • $21 for 6 low alcohol ginger beers, absolute rip off, why do people support these companies..

Dan deals have gone way downhill, not a patch on the deals we got when the member program first started.

I've drunken many cases of this swill over the years and I can confirm that it is indeed, an OK cheap case of beer. Brewed under Reinheitsgebot (German purity law) means just hops, barley and water. No nasty preservatives to my knowledge, but drink too much and you might obtain a mean hangover. The cans were always better!
