The 'steel' ones have a very silky feel, much like the Uniqlo AIRism briefs. Guess you're mostly still paying for the brand at the end of the day though.

Unless you wear your pants low, your underwear may remain never seen.

ladies, if you wear your pants low, make sure it's a thong
so it can be seen

If your pants are coming off, you are pretty much guaranteed to get laid, unless your undies stink, at which point even CK won't save your stinky ass.
On a related note, I've used cotton CK undies as well as cheap Rio's and CK outlast them by years. They both cotton, but CK must use much higher quality cotton.

I won't get laid if I am not wearing Target undies…that's what the wife bought me.

I used to have a few pairs of these, but I never paid $60 for a pair. Bonds underwears are as comfortable as these if not better and they cost a third of the price.
damn right, i had CK before but $60/each i guess you will better not fart on it. Bonds 80$ for 10 is always weapon of choices.
I usually buy Bonds Guyfront Trunk - if anybody has this as well, and a Calvin Klein Intense Power Cotton Trunk or Intense Power Micro Boxer brief, could you please let me know how they compare?
- +5 votes
Your Bonds one doesn't say 'CK' on it thus you can't spend $60 each on them.
- +2 votes
Yep. Bonds and similar are reasonably Comfortable. Calving Kleins are lower waisted, not that comfy and have absolutely no room for your junk. I'm 6foot, 78kg,34 waist, and go for XL bonds. XXL Calvins are still way too tight.
- +1 vote
I'm XL on bonds too. Thanks for letting me know, I might skip this one then.
- +2 votes
Must entirely depends on the style and your body type. I'm the same height, weigh a bit more, and similar waist, but I wear a medium boxer briefs, large in the stretch trunks.
That's true. It's quite hard I must say. Because I am only 5'8 with big thighs (from sports) and a 30 waist. Size XL (105-110cm) from bonds fit me well. This CK sale seems like a 'bargain' for me considering of the price.

So they've gone from a complete ripoff, down to what they should normally cost? meh.
- +2 votes
yeah, when i say they should normally cost $15, in the back of my mind, I am also thinking of when they go on sale, they will be even cheaper.
- +1 vote
I got to say, I typically end up a spending $10 per trunk on sale, not really $5, as that only works for clearance rubbish.
- +1 vote
Right, so everything should be cheap (even quality clothing), simply because you're a tight-ass and don't see value in it?
you can get good quality trunks for $10. How can they justify 6 times the price for a marginal at best improvement? They're often made of the same materal, but still made in china. it's clear they have massive profit margins, and/or inefficient processes.
@nuttapillar: While that may be true, mrau specifically said they should cost $5, which is a pretty silly statement.
@Lorindor: Why is it a silly statement? Lots of underwear out there at a $3 for $10 price, and you'd be surprised how little difference in quality there is between Kmart and "premium" labels. Bonds run continuous 40% discounts at all their outlets, making $10 price the norm for most of their solid underwear here in Australia, while the same stuff is sold in China and many 3rd world countries at less than $5, which is the reason for my statement. Play the ball, not the man.

@mrau: You're basically saying everything should cost the same, regardless of brand, manufacturing, import/export costs etc, that's ridiculous.
It's like saying we should all earn the same because that's fair for everyone.

All well and good but I’m not buying undies which contains “micro” in their description. If it these were “max” I could consider them.

These have been on sale since Christmas. Good deal.. but I've ordered since over 11 days ago and have yet to receive anything.
ordered these over the weekend. just got the confirmation these have already been shipped with a tracking avail.

Maybe due to the holiday. I just received the delivery. Really surprised how quick it was. Delivered in less than 2 days.

How does these compare to Kmart Alpha - the best VFM ones in town?
I love alpha underwear, especially when they're in the clearance section because someone has removed them from a multipack!
- +2 votes
They must have removed it from multipack to try it on - fitted them perfectly and then you bought it on clearance!
I haven't tried the new CK underwear yet, but I used to buy Alpha CoolMax which are excellent. However, I prefer the Kayizu underwear on Amazon.
The 40% off coupon is on shopback. The coupon doesn't apply to the sales item though.

Thanks OP. I usually buy XS but there's none on the entire site. So getting a few S. Great price as I usually get them for $20+ from ASOS or Iconic.
And also get a cardholder.
I activated 7% cashback from shopback as the promocode was also on their site.At least you're honest and not pretending you get the XLs as per above lol
Can confirm these work well on Tinder dates much better than target undies

Seriously guys, if you want to take care of your boys you need to house them in something better than thick cotton briefs. Try moving up to micro modal or other breathable lightweight material - less sweat, smell and hell of a lot more comfortable.
Back on thread - Calvin Klein's are a crap shoot now to find decent briefs as some of their polyester material blends quickly become uncomfortable. Further they've gone the way of Polo Ralph Lauren and increased the size of their logo and band to ridiculous levels.
Read the material description carefully, learn what type of blends suit you best and then follow the style that'll suit you (for eg. not everyone is a low-rise or y-front fan, I'm a trunk guy myself). Be mindful too that the ridiculous band sizes might not suit either.

Thanks mate, what's the most breathable underwear you've tried? Looking for something supportive with max airflow

FYI Calvin Klien online has the most painful returns process so order carefully, I'm still waiting on a refund since november last year.

That's not ecologically sound. Much more efficient to wash undies than pants.

I've always found myself wearing bonds trunks however I was recently given a pair of "Step Ones" and I haven't looked back… Once your boys feel that extra comfort there's no going back.
I looked them up, they too hot in summer mate. May work in colder climates.
Same here. Always bought CK and stocked up while they were on mega sale of when visiting outlets overseas (we are originally from Canada and so visit family every few years). Step ones are amazing. Still not quite sure if they're going to hold up as well as the CKs in the long run, but damn they're comfortable. Not sure what SamR is talking about, they do way better in the heat than 100% cotton or cotton/elastane CKs.

i hate the slit at the front always find the guy hanging out on his own, got a mind of his own!

Nah they're quite good. It's just that bonds has better value for money, for a slight decrease in comfort (at most)

Thank you. Awesome deal! Just bought 12 pairs of the STEEL MICRO's. Best underwear money can buy.
- +1 vote
i am wearing both undies brands. I am in a transition of moving undies brand from Bond. Bond undies have been disappointed in these few years… the waiat band going curly after few wears and colour also fading fast. CK has a good qualities and expensive feels hopefully money doesn’t lie

Thanks heaps OP bought over 20 to stock up as been waiting for a sale since the last CK Hong Kong deal which was cheaper ($12~) a pair.
Agree with some who may find these expensive, however since I've started wearing microfibre like the Steel and other ranges have never gone back to cotton and always look out for the CK clearance like this. I do believe your paying for the quality premium material for microfibre.
FYI they last for years but the RRP prices always increase so getting them for these prices is a genuine bargain for myself. What other ones do you recommend from experience, besides the "steel" range ?
I would recommend the Intense Power Micro Low Rise Trunk and IRON STRENGTH MICRO LOW RISE Trunk. Those are probably the only ones worth it if youre getting the steel range as well grab 2 of colour you want, I grabbed 3 pair of each colour as you may only use 5 and can save it for later when you change it in a year or 2 or longer.
I recommend about using 8-10 on rotation a year as prolonges the life beyond a year plus you're never stuck of not having one lol. My current ones from previous CK sales all look brand new, no discolour or waist band stretch and it's been over a year already. Also don't waste money in any of their cotton range, those I agree have gone down in quality as CKs premium underwear line are now the ones i mentioned including the Steel range.
Thanks very much for the detailed info and review of sorts.
I have been annoyed lately that some cheaper undies are wearing way too quick with holes etc.
I will try couple of each you recommended, and maybe more of the 'steel' range which many here suggest is good .
Interesting that the other undies quality has gone down, as the new premium range takes over.
Thanks
You must regret it now that the prices have gone even lower haha

Used to wear CK for ages…quality has gone to shit.
Under armour for the last year and they have been great. Stock up during their sales. - +1 vote
CK quality is very decent..I've used all the other brands, doesn't last as long as CK
Hugo Boss’s the best one for me. I had it for 8 years and still going strong. The Calvin Klein’s elastic wears out quicker but still last a lot longer than most
Signed up to newsletter. How long does 10% take?
Edit: nevermind gets applied at checkout. Thanks got 7 trunks.
I usually purchase boxers (cotton) from Trade Secret/TK Max. Max out at around $15 consistently, sometimes half that!

Thanks, bought 8 pairs… And I also want to support CK Steel underwear.
I used to be unwoke, I was always a cheap brand and bonds guy - thinking all underwear was pretty similar. One day I decided to explore other brands, and I purchased a steel underwear at an outlet after misreading the price, thinking it was much cheaper. I didn't realise until I got home at which point I couldn't be bothered to go back.
It blew my mind - it's night and day. I didn't realise how much happiness a pair of briefs could bring to my life. I soon then went on a quest to search for other underwear, thinking that any inexpensive brand then would be good… but I was sadly mistaken. To name a few, I've experimented with A&F, Giorgio Armani, Tarocash, Tommy Hilfiger, 2XU, and the cheaper CK line, they are all bad.
After my experimentation, I vouch for three underwears: SAXX low rise trunks, David Archy Micro Modal trunks, CK Steel trunks/briefs. Roughly in that order, but they're very close in quality IMO.

Terrible cut if you have an ass and something at the front too. Maybe it suits people of a certain slim and very lightweight build, but probably not most Aussies.
Uniqlo does adjust their styles and cuts, so I expect they will quickly improve. It just didn't work out for me last year.
Aldis multi packs is all I use hahah - guess people who "low ride" would want ones like these.. :D

They last so much longer than unbranded ones. But Hugo boss and Tommy Hilfiger last even longer

never tried em before
are they better than aldi/ big W which cost $3 a pop (100% cotton with an elastane waistband)
