  • Says $273 when I look at it on your link, must be an in store thing.? Good price if its $179…

    • You have to go all the way to the end of the checkout process for the discount code option. Discount works

      • Ah, got it, you have to click "show order summary" to put in the code or go to the end (hate that)…
        hmmm, should I ??? I only have 3 helmets atm, and it is a bargain… :-)

  • Not showing up at that price for me either.

From memory these have a bad review because the visor snaps easily.

If it really is only $179 then that's great… Otherwise not worth it

    • You have to enter the code on the payment page

  • It works fine. Did you guys use the coupon code?

Code is both words "Brain bucket"

  • Hi OP,

How much did your bike learners cost?

It was costing over $1,200 in Melbourne.

    Cheers

    • Only around $270 I'm doing it in ACT

      • Bargain, cheers for the reply

  • A heads up for new riders, not all helmets brands are the same.
Not talking about quality, but the fit.
Everyone's head shape is different, so try them first if you can at a local shop.
Shark and HJC fits me, but Aria, Shoei actually had areas which felt like it applied pressure on my head.

That apart, this SKWAL range (I find) creates more wind noise (at hwy speeds) then my last SHARK helmet (R2S2 - can't remember exact model).

I’d be wearing earplugs for any decent time in the saddle.

      • Yes. Riding without earplugs is actually really annoying and kind of stressful for me after wearing them for 13 years.

I'm not sure what shape head i have but i have had arai, shark, icon, HJC, AGV and nolan helmets before and they have all fitted me comfortably (all size S). really makes me wonder whether all the hullabaloo online about "head shape" is a bit overhyped.

      • Some of the manufacturers sell two ranges which tend to fit distinctly different head shapes. Some of the Shoei's fit me, some don't. The Arai RX range fits me, but I recall others didn't. I haven't found a shark which fits me yet. Currently I find Bell's to be the most comfortable for me.

If your head fits into either of the two common shapes then I'd say you're fitting your helmet wrong (two large I'd guess).

        • I do notice that my current RPHA Max and Nolan N104 fit me tighter than my AGV K3SV but i certainly wouldn't want the AGV to be any smaller. i guess i'll just have to hope for the best :)

      • When you come across a helmet that doesn't fit properly, you will know.
The pain from the pressure spots can get quite intense if you wear it long enough.

        • It's the opposite problem if they are too big though, I would have thought. I was always taught that the test is to ensure that it is snug enough that if someone grabs it and wriggles it around on your head, there is only minimal (if any) free play, and where your cheeks are pressed in but not so much that it is uncomfortable.

  • Great helmet. After all it lights up. Rather funky. Inner sunvisor is good. The visor is annoying. Breaks easy when putting pinlock on. Just have to be gentle. I broke mine but warranty covered it. All in all. Great gelmet. Great price and at night. Get plenty of head turns. Even better when there is several with the same light up feature
