  • Shows as $48.99 until you add to cart. Then its $29.95.

  • In SA it's still $48.99 :(

    • when you do the purchase they will refund as long as it says 12 for 30….Call up the stores if in the north mawson lakes / hollywood plaza your outta luck i've noticed they are hiding them (store people) or i / people are grabbing them as soon as they come in

  • Thanks OP. I got the last carton from my local DM.

  • Presume this is in response to the BWS deal.

I believe BWS and Dan Murphy's are both owned by Woolworths.

    • Yes. It they still compete with each other.
Di can’t price match on the corona or price beat rather as they aren’t listed on their system soi assume they don’t stock em.
Not the corona are 710 ml and sol 690 ml I think

  • I went to click n collect at my local Dan & their system was down. They were doing everything manually and gave me a case of 24×330ml Sol instead of 12x650ml.

      120ml free.
      Score.

      • Extra $1.20 on bottle cashback too if in a state that does it

      Want beer?

  • Haven’t had Sol before. Is it similar to Corona?

    • +5

It is similar. Imo it's better.. seems like it's slightly more bitter.

    • +2

I think Corona is better, but it's personal preference. They're very similar.

    • +1

Corona tastes like watered down Sol imo.
I got a carton on BWS deal, and the monster sized stubby is already starting to feel comfortable.
      Should I be concerned?

      • +1

Nay. It’s summer. Go nuts as long as you’re not drink n driving.

    • -1

      Worse. I don't like it.

  • awesome thanks op

    12 bottles of 650ml Sol for $29.95 or $2.95/bottle

Awesome post, but your maths need some work. It works out to be $2.496 per bottle rather than $2.95. It is even lesser if you factor in cashback.

    • +10

He isn’t doing the maths of per bottle. It’s dan Murphy’s price for a single bottle

Its actually a good summer beer

  • Your move Liqourland/First Choice

Nice deal but hard to find. Problem with larger bottles is that the beer is warm by the time you finish unless you're skulling.

This deal is good, need to log in as a "member", Oettinger 24 pack for $30, made in Germany:

    • drink faster or pour in the frozen mug

    • Just drink it out of a brown paper bag, stays cold for hours.

Might be time for a review into the criteria for obtaining, and holding an Australian man-card.

Did they miss their weekly mani/pedicure requirements?

    • It's just as easy as drinking a bottle of white wine before it gets warm.

    • Use a stubby holder without a base. Easily stretches around long neck.

Over 40C 3 days in a row here..even these can seem small on days like these.

I find this beer quite acceptable for the hot summer days. It's a very light style and won't offend with big malt or hops flavours. 650ml bottles isn't 2 schooners and I keep 4 glasses in the freezer so I can keep using cold glasses as I drink. It's a good lawnmower beer or for lazing next to the pool like today. I tried to get 2 cartons from a local BWS but they said they only had one, though their online stock system says one is available. Local Dans says no stock but order now to collect by Thursday. So I might order a couple and use them as afternoon scoffers over summer.

      I like your (life)style

  • I popped into my local Dan's today to grab a dozen and the guy in the store didn't think they stocked them anymore. Turns out they had 6 on the shelf and 6 in the fridge so I was in luck.

  • Still showing full price even after putting them in the cart :(

  • what the expired date on this …
