Or you could get the much cheaper Target alternative which not many people know about for $60. Even better when target do the 2 pillows for the price of 1 sales. I've been recommending this pillow for many years to people and I'd say over 95% have liked it. As good as any of the over $100 latex contoured pillows.

In the past they used to have a firm version (which was thicker), but now only one version.

I tried that & the same weird shaped one from ikea.
Tried OP's Dunlopillo latex & a bunch of other non latex pillows.
Now have a cupboard full of uncomfortable pillows.
But it's a personal choice, you can't really recommend a pillow to someone.

I settled on the high profile latex from Snooze currently on special for $55.

My parents got a latex Dunlopillo for me when I was -very- young, and it lasted ~30 years before it failed.
More recent ones aren't as good though :-(

Yes! Was in the same boat in terms of too many pillows…

Agreed that everyone will have their preferences, but for those who likes a firm pillow but haven't found one to their liking, here's a little sleeper that I'd suggest from harris scarf. I've been using this for about a year and it's been great. Still holds its firmness and shape and still loving it. I have since recommended it to a couple of friends, my mum and wife and they were all surprised and feedback have been great.

Rrp $89.95 each but currently on special, 2 for $69.95.

Hope that it would help others..

        Happy sleeping..

        • Thank you for the suggestion. I will try it out and thought it deserved it's own post.

  • Where to get DJ gift cards?

I got mine for $79.95 from HS a few months ago. They're constantly on sale. They are pretty much constantly doing sales so you might find that next weekend they'll be even cheaper.

    • Looks like the offer is finished.

Geez these just keep getting more expensive every year.

    Pretty good deal.
We got the Therapillo memory foam versions with the cooling gel on one side about a year ago, best pillow I've ever had but don't remember paying over $100 each for them. Demand and price must have gone up with Mr Barefoot's recommendation!

    • No one should ever pay RRP

I’m using 2 for 10$ target ones. Very sleepable

Anyone knows how this compared to Tontine? https://www.amazon.com.au/Tontine-Comfortech-Talalay-Pillow-…

    • Thanks for pointing that out - just ordered one to see how it is. If it's no good it'll become a spare pillow I guess.

  • We bought these last year and found that both missus and myself seem to have some kind of latex intolerance. Would wake up filling very stuffy with itchi noses.

Changing the pillows to no latex was instantly better.

We even wondered if they were some dodgy ripoffs, but comparing our pillows to Myer ones - they seemed exactly the same.

A real shame because they were very comfortable :(

I thought most couples discovered latex intolerance way before they get to the pillow buying stage of the relationship…

      • +7

Perhaps it's due to the length of exposure..

        • And how close to your nose it is…

  • How often should you change your pillow?

    • Depends what it's made from. Latex ones are meant to last up to 15 years, these and their memory foam ones have a 10 year guarantee so somewhere around there provided you wash it regularly and use the cover. Polyester or synthetic ones should be replaced pretty much annually.

    • Also if you use a high quality pillow protector, the latex pillows will last decades.

  • If anyone prefers buying through Amazon (https://www.amazon.com.au/Dunlopillo-Luxurious-Profile-Pillo…), works out to the same price with 6% cashback from Shopback.

    • You can get cashback from DJs which would make this deal cheaper…

  • was checking the price and found some review from Kogan, here the link if anyone interested

If you're buying instore, check if these are red ticketed.
Supposed to be an extra 20% off for red ticketed items.

    • Never applies to homewares unless there’s a targeted offer that only goes for a few days; that offer is only for fashion, shoes and accessories.

  • Has anyone found a pillow that focuses on improving your posture when side sleeping?

  • Does anyone who side sleeps wake up to ear pain in the downward facing ear?
As in one part of the ear cartilage that has contact with the pillow is squished/pressured during the night and I often wake up with a strong throbbing sensation. It usually goes away after half an hour of getting up but is annoying as hell.
Is there a pillow which could make this go away?

    • +1

Yes, I had the same problem. Had to go back to the old soft tontine pillow. I don't have the ear issue anymore but now I wake up with a sore neck. Can't win.

    • +1

Yes… I found some measure of relief using a feather/down pillow.

  • $320 for two pillows!?!

  • Just got 2 classic ones from DJs for $139
