      so safe to drink

as for quality; maybe not as good as best. i don't know much about coffee or capsules

i added it to the title in case anyone misses it in the description

Having bought other past best by date capsules - don't!

so safe to drink… But should you?

Coffee is bought for the taste & that deteriorates over time. Intensity & freshness that is highlighted in the above description, will be lacking in old pods. There will be a marked difference in aroma & taste with fresh stock, even though capsules are sealed. From my experience, some coffee capsules may be over 2 years old by time it reaches best by date.

*No returns on food or drink items.

        • fair enough

i've had luck with well sealed tea / tisanes WAY past it's dates

coffee is all an equally gross mystery to me

@bargain huntress: I'm not much of a coffee drinker. But, I do know no one goes into a coffee shop & orders stale coffee☕ Fresh is an important selling point. After roasting, then grinding… it deteriorates.

Never bought past best by date coffee pods & never will. A selection came with my first ($6) machine in a deal. I was very disappointed! When I bought new pods, I was surprised by the great flavour & aroma. That's the reason people drink coffee☕ The old pods were so dull in comparison.

Most things are best fresh. Flavour, aroma & food quality deteriorates.

Learnt from a comment that fresh rice is far better! (Should have known that as visit my rice farmer friend in rural Japan.)

Other foods taste fine beyond best by date & save money. Had breakfast of quality Karen Marteni Granola (cranberry, almond & date) - normally $15/450g pack, bought 6 for $10. 1 month past best by date. Tastes amazing!

            I'm always learning from Ozbargainers😀

No, IIRC Aldi capsules are larger.
