Lol @ name and stress balls :)

  • -4

I bet the balls are wrapped in plastic too. Useless packaging - unless it's fancy to someone.

    Not too classy, Virgin.

There’s a gym just for virgins? Count me in!

You can play with balls and keep your virginity by never entering the gym!

I want to wear a wristband calling myself an active virgin!

    • Common wisdom says active virgin do not remain so for long.

A frontpage for worthless company promo material? Come on now, this is a slippery slope.

Feel ya…but really…their business is planes…which guzzle stupid amounts of fuel…mostly so most people can go on a holiday. Conundrum I'd say.

Not saying there is a solution. Especially given we live in this globalised world where we MUST and HAVE TO travel.
At least they are handing them out at train stations which ultimately are people that aren't using cars….ergo more eco friendly (even if that's not their main reason for it)

  • Who wears sweat bands in a gym?

    • d*ckheads

    • People who do leg day.

  • +2

You'll definitely need stress balls when you pay for the virgin active gym membership.

    • Yup…its a great gym…but as a stand alone one its stupidly limited for the price you pay vs access to bigger gym franchises that allow you to use them all over town and Australia.

Sweaty wrists and virgin's, how apt of them

Their membership prices are one of the highest in the CBD.
    Would not recommend!

    • All the classes are free tho.

      • Most classes in most gyms with this price tag are free.

    • Have you actually been a member?

      • ex-member - not that it's relevant?

        I don't feel 120-160 a month is a worthwhile cost.

        • Of course it is relevant as to whether you can recommend the gym; if you haven't actually experienced the service how can you form a considered opinion? Just because something is expensive does not mean it is not worthwhile. I'm a current member and, yes I do think it is expensive, but I've been going to gyms for nearly 30 years and this is one I attend regularly. There are a lot of class options and the spa and pool area mean I can wind down after my pump classes. There are certainly areas that need improvement, particularly in the change rooms, but for someone looking for a gym with a lot of options for fitness this is a good place. I would certainly recommend this ahead of Fitness First; based on my experience of both.

    • As a member of the gym, i'm going to respectfully disagree here.
Not sure about others, but the one that I attend (Zetland) has a wide range of equipment and they all feel "updated".
And there's nothing better than having a gym that has a sauna + spa.

      • I’m a member at virgin and, yes it is expensive, but there is a great range of classes, including Pilates reformer classes with the beds included in the price. If I can’t face a class the spa is great.

As others have noted, they are high for a reason. Fantastic gym with everything you could want under one roof, A grade facilities and the perfect gym for anyone who works in the cbd.

  • must be feeling dyslexic today read this as "sweat balls and stress bands"

    • that is just standard equipment in most gyms.
