    Thanks for the recommendation- some reviews suggest padding very minimal on the Rapido. What do you reckon? Any thoughts on what else could be considered good value in the $50-70 range?

      I've not noticed any issues with the padding on the Rapido. I used to have a $70 Limar and the Rapido eats it for breakfast in terms of features. Maybe look at Giro or something?

  +1 for quality of the helmet - for $109 the selected styles are a bargain.

  Please note the Protone is now $189 down from $389. It's the level above the Mojito.

  The Mojito is a great helmet which i ride in - the protone is the one you'll see on GCN / World Tour events - although now the Vallegro is very popular and the newest model.

    I had a Protone, it's pretty hot in a Queensland summer and if you're not a pro cyclist going at 40km/hr+, the ventilation of the Protone is pretty sub-par. My previous lids were the Catlike Mixino and Whisper, which I guess are not exactly a fair comparison. The Mojito is probably a better choice unless you're racing.

  I have a Mojito and as others have said it is extremely comfortable, also has loads of ventilation for this time of year when lots of rides are very hot!! Its not particularly aero if that's your thing. I also have Bontrager Ballista and it is noticeably more aero but doesnt breath as well and isnt as comfortable. I've never rode in the Protone. I actually had a Protone in my shopping cart 2 days ago when Pushys had the 'extra 15% off' code but forgot to buy it and when i remembered and logged back in the code had expired. Now I cant bring myself to buy it because I know I could have had a better bargain!!!!

  I never saw this 15% off advertised. Just pulled the trigger on the black and white Mojito. Shame they only have the all black "iride" version in size L, when I'm M.
