They do significant independent testing of Australian car seats and is basically the only thing CHOICE use to recommend seats.
They don't seem to have many models? or the search function isn't good? searching 'Britax' only gets two older looking seats
Try looking at Safe-N-Sound instead of Britax. I can see 38 models in this brand that have been tested, out of 208 total models tested.
The testing method changed in 2018, so they only have a few listed in the 2018 testing, but if you click on 2012 - 2017 testing, they have a significant amount.
That website is not as great as it seems.
The results are usually very outdated, and they have changed testing method's over the years, but not fixed older results. So a newer safer seat will get a worse score than an older seat that was tested under the old regime.
Also, apparently these are done as single tests. They would need to test each seat multiple times to get accurate results.

I called Baby Bunting for a pricematch. They decided to call Britax themselves to check if bigbabydiscounts is an official retailer, and Britax said no they are not and beware of buying from them.
So - buyers beware I guess. FWIW - I can't find any ABN for this company.
Baby Bunting went and found the next cheapest price for me though which was Baby Co at $399.

Anyone can share their buying experience from this website? After i place a order and check their website again, it looks a bit doggy, no contact or customer service contact numbers. I drop an email to them and it has been two days, still no reply. Trying to google it, unfortunately not too many information available online. Start getting a bit worried.

The staff were discussing the price saying they hadn't seen this model that cheap before or heard of the shop which would be maybe a 10 minute drive.

Got a pricematch at Baby Bunting - picked it up today rather than having to wait for delivery. They did not price beat, only match.
Asked if they could give me the blue, but they said it's like for like only (T&C does clearly state that too). I think it will come down to the person on the day though.

Based on the address they listed on their website, it belongs to a company call Venmist (https://www.truelocal.com.au/business/venmist/brendale), I ring the company's number and none of them aware there is a company selling baby stuff. The lady pick-up the call even mentioned someone in QLD went to their office and ask for his online order, but end of finding no such a company.
I order the car seat from their website on 17 Jan, apart from one email reply on 19/01 said the order will be shipped on this Mon or Tue. I haven't got any further response or updates. Obviously, I haven't received any shipping information as well. Sent multiple emails to [email protected] and no response either.
I wonder why 'Danderson1' isn't responding to you here, considering he was last online 7 hours ago.
I managed to get a price match at Baby Bunting so didn't place an order on this site - hopefully it's not a scam for your sake and you get what you ordered!! or even a response.
Just try to price match at BabyBunting, I was informed by the store manager that this website is not a legitimate website and advise me not to put any online purchase on that.

A member had reported it to us and we had also been following the comments.
The store has been banned on OzBargain due to these concerns, when/if the matter is resolved the ban can be removed.

Takes a certain type of scum to target new parents who already have a tonne of expenses at this time of their lives. Hopefully this doesn't result in them having to skimp on their child's safety and buy a lesser seat due to the money lost on this. Absolutely pathetic.
I just report this website to Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (ACCC) SCAM WATCH.
Hope ACCC will take the action very soon. I am sure this website won't exist for too long.

Here's some concerning information. I lodged a charge back via AMEX and apparently the merchant has provided 'evidence' to support their charge and AMEX has ruled in favour of them…hopefully I can get this resolved…

… Surely the fact the website has disappeared, and that they will likely receive multiple complaints for the same vendor will help.
Did you call Amex or just lodge a dispute online? My payment was made via Amex as well, when I call them for dispute, they promise the money will be refunded in the next billing cycle (although I haven't received it yet). You should ring them and explain to them the situation - clearly, it's a scam as you made the payment, but never receive the goods.
What's merchant's "evidence"?
I lodged a dispute with NAB but they've asked for written evidence of delivery date confirmation and any emails with the merchant relating to the dispute - both of which I don't have because he never sent a confirmation email with a date and any emails to the merchant just bounce back. Will wait to see what NAB come back with.

Hi All, just an update, AMEX has refunded the dispute fee, I send them the email communication and took them 2 months to refund.

I've lodged a transaction dispute with Commbank and got my money refunded. It took close to 45 days.
Just had my credit card scammed for around $1500 yesterday. This is the dodgiest thing I used my credit card for in the last couple of months. Anyone else got done?
