    Have you tried Google?

  • Yes still looking

Bindi Irwin or the arch enemy of a snake, the griffin.

Call your local council, they can either send a ranger or direct you to the right people in your area.

You don't need to call anyone. You'll be fine to try catching it yourself, just be careful. Make sure you grab it by the correct end!

Unless it's cornered or trapped just leave it be and try to observe it leaving your property.

Snake catcher will charge but have no idea how much.

Do not try to catch it yourself.

OP is based in Sydney. I'd definitely called to get it relocated. Wildlife services don't charge, i think people usually call Wires.

    Nothing, its gone by now!

    • -2

I agree, if it isn't deadly, just leave it be.
the snake (or any wildlife) has just as much right to exist as we do
If it's brown snake or something, and children around where it is, then get it moved on.
      Otherwise Live and let live

  • YouTube it? I didn't search for one, I'm pretty sure there is a video for this :)

  • Call WIRES (Wildlife Information, Rescue and Education Service) in your area.

OH MY GOD there’s a TASMANIAN DEVIL in my backyard ….
… no wait … my neighbor says it’s a guinea pig.

  • Let it go. It will soon go away.
    Most importantly STAY WELL AWAY!

  • As a retired snake handler, catcher and giving talks to many many groups over too many years to remember I am still surprised by the reaction from the public to snakes. I am more concerned by other drivers on our roads.

The snake in the photo is a Diamond Python and certainly not big by any means. They can easily grow to 4 meters. Compared to our largest snake only found in far North Queensland the Amethystine Python (common name Scrub Python)the can hit 9 metres and eats wallabies.
