  • Officeworks didn't add in the shipping cost before price beat? How did you manage that? I can see a pickup option for Printer Supermarket but I cannot see the location. Then there is this in the FAQ:

Can I pick my order up? Due to no customer service at our warehouses, we are only able to deliver.

    • They just looked at the front page price, didn't ask me to add shipping. As the domain is .au for the website, it satisfies their conditions. I can post receipt if you like

      • So OW forgot to add shipping. You got a lucky bargain as shipping is $35 to Metro areas.

        • Obviously I was quite smooth to get this bargain ;-) had my eye on this for a while

  • I have the earlier version MFC-L2740DW from officeworks. It is a nice printer. The only thing is that even with the so called "high yield" toner, I can never get up to anything close to the page yield that the toner claims. This is the only thing that I find frustrating but apart from that the printer has been good.

    • What are you printing? The page yield is based on 5% coverage.

      • just normal text from a typical word document. No graphics or anything.

  • L6200 is good. Generic ink is good value.
However the printer dies after long use. I think all printers does after long use.

  • I've heard good things about this printer, but what's the ongoing running costs like? Is toner cheap?

    • Get a generic one from ebay.

      • This model does accept generic toners

  • tempting….

  • Do these do double sided printing. That's important to save paper as well aside from the toner if your printing a lot.

    • Yes it does double sided printing and scanning

    • Something I learned years ago.

The D in the model number means DUPLEX (double sided)
      And the W means Wireless.

  • I don't think it does double sided. I have an earlier version of this printer and it's pretty good.I haven't mastered the wifi feature.. lol

    • Link to Brother website which mentions double sided printing and scanning

      https://brother.com.au/monochrome-laser-mfc/mfc-l2750dw-deta…

      • If it excepts generic toners and does the double sided printing and scanning and you have the room for a multi function printer then worth getting one of these or similar. Only recently moved from inkjet. So dramatic cost saving in prints and less hassle with the stupid ink jet printers which by the way are a con.

    • The d in the model number means duplex which means it does double sided

  • I am looking at 5755, with a higher toner and drum yield

  • Op…do you mind sharing your receipt? Went O Officeworks but they would add delivery charges to it

  • Thanks OP, just grabbed one from Officeworks Hornsby for $207.95 too!!

Rep didn’t check shipping, just browsed the site and put it through! :)

  • Hooked the printer up today, couldn't be more happy with it. It's a huge leap from my PoS inkjet I was using! Its functionality is a squillion times better on my mac, wife's pc and mobiles. Cheers OP!

  • Currently the best deal I found for this printer is $249 at Umart?
    https://www.umart.com.au/Brother-MFC-L2750DW-Laser-Multifunc…

Pick up is available so I should be able to buy at OW for $240 after price match.

Any deals or hacks to buy it lower than $240 ?
