    I have some pairs with the same waist as shown and have never found it to be an issue.

  Main material: cotton.

  Cotton is the opposite of a moisture-wicking material (which this product claims to be.) Once cotton's wet it stays wet.

        More than likely is, and yes cotton isn't the greatest at wicking but that doesn't equate to it not wicking at all, weave etc also comes into it. Sometimes the additional wicking isn't an advantaging either, you generally sweat as your body is trying to cool down, removing all of that moisture is going against what your body is trying to achieve.
