  • That's about what it's worth :)

the slots in the toaster are wide enough to take a Four"n"twenty pie, so they are great for crisping up a pie that has come out of the micro wave.

I have the all auto version of this toaster, it lasted 18 mths then got it replaced under warranty, they are great when working, bot worth $140, but if they are $79 and less 10% it's a bargain, how to get GG to price match , especially the extra 10% this weekend as they are closer to me.???

      • I find Breville are just a good name and not anything spectacular in design… that being said… (looks in kitchen)

When on 'special' they are a good buy, I'm not doubting this bargain at all but just saying anyone would be a fool to pay full price

        • yeah, full price for breville is crazy …. you get 2 year warranty, but very hard to get spares, it's basically outside of warranty, bin and get a new one, which seems crazy if you have paid $140 for an appliance, when sometimes it's a $15 element in the case of a toaster.

I also have a dualit toaster. All parts readily available.

So with the war on waste, wondering when the enviromentalists will tackle throw away appliances, or getting longer warranty period eg 3 years instead of 1 or 2 …. they now make me buy rubbish bin liners, hope they are sincere and tackle other plastic items.

      • people do that? that's new. thanks for the info.

      • Exactly the same here. 14 months for me.
Ended up just binning it and buying a cheapo Kmart one that's been working ever since. They look cool but I wouldn't waste my money paying full price for one

  • Have one at work place not impressed. Just genwral one

I have one & it pops up well before the lights indicate toast is ready. Push it down and pops up again after a few seconds.

    • Sounds like a fault?

  • I've got the 2 slice version. Works well, but so does a $20 toaster.

I mainly bought it to match all my other breville appliances.

It beeps when the toast is done, which does seem unnecessary given the noise created by the toast ejecting is far louder!

    • lol @ash2000 I would have to agree with you, why the beep!

  • Bought one in store today and paid $71.10 to my surprise, the 10% extra discount was not advertised anywhere.
