Wireless Bluetooth Earphones for Android - Your Bang for Buck Suggestion

I'm looking to replace my wired Samsung earphones with Wireless ones.

Does anyone has recommendation on which kind should I go for?

There's one that I saw from quick glance on eBay; has anyone bought and use them?

  • These are availble Saturday from Aldi, could be worth a risk free trial:

    • Bluetooth v4.2 only. I'd want 5.0 for true wireless earphones.

      • Excuse my ignorance, but what is the difference between true wireless earphones and what Aldi has on offer?

Oh no, the linked Aldi ones are "True Wireless", but they only have:

          Bluetooth version CSR V4.2

Bluetooth 5.0 introduced a lot of features useful for true wireless earphones, like better pairing between the separate earphones, more stable connection, lower battery usage, etc.

        • You're not the one ignorant here. Apple Airpods cost 5 times the price of these and also use Bluetooth 4.2. The class leading Sony WF-1000X (also true wireless) cost even more have great sound and active noise cancelling and only use Bluetooth 4.1.

  • You can refer to last year's thread for some initial reading.

  • There's different models, they all look very similar but differ in likeness to the original Airpods ie. Size and bluetooth version.

That linked one is i7s TWS, so just google that one.

  • I've been very happy with the sound & build quality of the Anker Soundbuds Slim. They're also very affordable.

  • Most of these Bluetooth still comes with wire? I thought the idea is wire-free hence no tangle? Or i misunderstood the concept?

From a little bit I've picked up over the last few weeks, what you are after is True Wireless Stereo (TWS) bluetooth. I think that specifies you're after the ones where it is literally just the ear buds and no cord at all. But I'm not expert, just things I've picked up.

    • This bothers me too. Wireless should mean wireless. Not just wireless to your device.

      • so how did you go true Wireless with?

        • I just use on ear BT headphones.

The SoundPEATS True Wireless seem to get decent reviews for a budget set.

  • Happy with the ones that came with my phone: Huawei AM61. They fit really well, never fall out, and the battery is good.

  • I've tried the JBL Reflect Mini 2's, the Jaybird X3s (hated them), and now have the Soundpeats Q30 Plus. Highly recommened the Soundpeats for running. theyre only $36.

  • I bought these extremely happy with them $28.68
