      • says it is the wrong code unfortunately :(

        • Hmm, will it only work with my account?

          How much are you spending?

          • @GangGang: i think it is tied to the account? $21

Having Ebay plus must invalidate you from these kind of deals ;)

I still have the 3 months free trial activated. I rarely get targeted.

  • I'm trying to upload the photo from my email. I selected the ebay store as url when I first created it and now I can't change it to a photo.

Have a higher chance of winning a lottery than being targeted by eBay :(

I'm not sure why people post these "bargains". If you got this deal, you already got an email about it sent to your email address. Who needs a deal posted to go check your emails? It just makes the rest of us excited that there is a genuine worthwhile deal being issued by ebay, only to be disappointed.

Hold on… I just got an email that a Nigerian Prince wants to give me $5 million. Maybe I should post it on OzBargain as a deal and get everyone to check their email accounts to see if they got it too!

    • many of us have multiple ebay accounts, and we aren't going to open every email account to check for these daily?

      • +1

I understand the reluctance to check the ebay message system under each account. I was referring to an actual email address used to set up the account in the first place, I'd expect the message to come through with all your normal correspondence from friends, your bank, OzBargain subscriptions etc.

    • . If you got this deal, you already got an email about it sent to your email address.

Yes and no. Because I have a slew of ebay accounts I turn email promotions off (otherwise I'm inundated with ebay junk). Occasionally these posts are of benefit.

I understand your point. But if it wasnt for people posting on ozbargain. I would of missed out on so many deals regarding eBay. I check ozbargain more than my emails. I guess it's also a heads up for people who missed it on the email, I certainly do.

    • Nigerian Prince wants to give you $5 million, better than what I get, I get blackmailed
asking for $1000 in bitcoins to stop them sending the captured video of the porn video
side by side with the footage from my webcam to all my contacts, wish I could
contact them and tell them to send it to everyone to make me famous.

      I don't even have a webcam, lol.

Why does eBay Plus exist? Legit so many items have free shipping anyway. Most useless service, I will cancel it because I'm fed up. Give us 20% off storewide with a max $1000 discount or something. I didn't pay for free shipping which I get 50% of the time anyway… and to miss out of deals only for new people.

    • There are lots of products that get free postage and returns, however, ebay does an appaulling job of delineating with items are shipped free for everyone, and which have free shipping for Plus members only.

spent more than 5k on ebay last month, avg spent 2k each month and i am not their loyalty customer
    feels great :)

    • +1

Yep, inactive account, get a "most valued" "loyal customer" monetary bonus.
Spend regularly and keep their platform alive, get jack sh*t.
Not to mention ridiculously high minimum spends and low maximum order quantity to qualify for a petty discount.
Then there's the whole worthless ebay plus schemozzle.

What a way to run a sales platform and keep your real customers happy, ebay!

  • hey you guys who receive these targeted discount vouchers, do you find that you do a lot of shopping on eBay?
I'm just wondering if there are spending targets ebay can see, and when you hit that threshold, ebay sends these vouchers out.
I think I spend maybe… $100 on eBay per month. I would have to check my stats to be sure.
But roughly $100/month I think, which isn't enough to get vouchers like this.

I cancelled my plus after the last new eBay minus customers only deal. I spend a lot on eBay and never get these deals. Amazon is actually significantly better.

  • Thanks for Your Loyalty!

I never get targeted for these things.

    Where's ebay's loyalty?

It's tied to your account. Can't share these things. But it's the thought that counts, so thanks.
