    It depends on what you like. As I've gotten older I've found the firm mattress too hard and the topper has been great.

        I got 8cm memory foam with gel. I've only used memory foam toppers as I had my doubts on regular toppers but admittedly without first hand experience.

  Please be aware that the pillows are not memory foam, they are regular foam and much smaller than standard pillow size. It's almost misleading but I guess if it's not written down its on the buyer. Compare prices with other sellers as the pillows really aren't a value add.

  Thinking to use this to put on top a sofa bed, as sofa beds are normally pretty uncomfortable.

  Would something like this work? Is $120 a good price for a Queen?

    if u expecting a true "Memory Foam" then no, nothing like it.
    they cutting cost with the "10 zone design", this hollow design make it feel the same as any regular foam which is the same materials as ur sofa bed.
    so if u want a thicker pad for ur sofa bed then yes, but if u want ur sofa bed to be more comfortable then na, not gonna happen.

        get a latex one, the porblem with sofa bed is not enough support, neither regular foam or memory foam could help, but of coz the latex one cost u much more.

        You can get the solid 8cm version of these which is what I have. I can't say for sure if it would help on a sofa bed as the underlying stability may not be there, as per another commenter.

        It wouldn't hurt though….
        I can't see that latex would be much better unless really thick. It would just be more expensive and thus a bigger risk to try.

  I bought one of these and they feel hotter than my current mattress. I do not recommend.

    They are definitely hotter which is great in winter. I get by using the fan in summer and can tolerate the heat increment almost all of the time but people that have less heat tolerance may struggle.

    cool gel is advertised to be cooler for summer, (memory foam infused with gel to keep it cool) so will this one be good for summer?

    genuinely asking as i was looking at buying one.

      I have the cool gel one and tbh I have my doubts that it is much cooler. It's hard to tell without trying both products though. The fact remains that even with cool gel it's warmer than a normal mattress. I went for cool gel based on the marketing message an it being about $20 more expensive and I thought it was worth a chance.

      With all this said, I much prefer using a memory foam topper then just the mattress.
