Great price for a 4K upscaling Blu-Ray player with 3D, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth, USB playback and a range of streaming apps to cover most of your media consumption.

Much better than grabbing a budget player which can often give a frustrating experience with fiddly remotes.

Only 3 in stock but will still be able to be ordered with ‘more on the way’.

Much more expensive at JB HiFi $198, Bing Lee $199 and Sony Store $198

Ships from and sold by Amazon AU.

  • Wow, awesome spot OP. Would grab if I didn't already have a One S.

    Worth noting:
*Does not play 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Discs.

  • damn… missed it!

    • Seems still there, just look on the right hand side of page.

      • nup - can't see it -

        • Was there, now not!

It will upscale your media to 4K, but is not a 4K UHD player.

Apparently it has great upscaling ability for even low quality sources.

  • Good for Blu-ray. Some parts of the UI (e.g. setup menu) can be annoyingly sluggish though and 'apps' like Netflix slow to start. Basic media server interface (no cover art in menus, no subtitles over DLNA). The X700 is quite a bit snappier if you want Blu-ray and streaming in one device and aren't as concerned about price.

Sorrry guys, a shame it’s unavailable now. It definitely said more would be on the way, which usually allows you to continue to order with a wait time.

I was comparing this player to the cheaper ones (eg Soniq, Thomson, Laser) which I’ve never had a great experience with.
