It seems like a reasonable price. SL-199-4U is rebranded as lots of different brands around the world. Wholesales for around US$6 and retails generally for more than this (other Amazon sites, AliExpress). Some people on Indian Amazon complained that it did not correctly take Indian 3 prong cords.

  • They keep talking about saving environment, and this is the simplest example how to make less waste. Instead of standardising plugs, they still keep selling adapters. Granted, you can't use adapter in the US (for everything), but as an example you can use Australian stuff in Europe if you buy an adapter.

This is a great adapter. I have the Air Canada branded version. Slide switches work well, no issues with the USB ports over the last 2 years of heavy use. Good build quality too.

Max 2.4A per USB port but 3.4A max for all ports (so 1.7A if two are being used, 1.1A if three are being used,0.85A if four are being used).

Also, it is not to be used for high current devices such as hair dryers, clothes irons, etc

    • Thanks for the USB power breakdown. To me that is critical when travelling as I want as much usable current as possible out of the ports for 'fastest' (without fast charge protocols) when trying to charge multiple devices at once.
