For topping, try Spam ham slices or kransky.

  • Are these vegetarian?

        You say what?

      Here's the ingredients as listed.

Noodles: Wheat Flour (62.7%), Potato Starch, Palm Oil, Salt, Mineral Salts (339, 500, 501), Seasoning (Yeast Extract, Soy Sauce, Garlic, Wheat Starch), Green Tea Extract, Colour (101).
Soup Powder: Seasoning Mix (Maltodextrin, Hydrolyzed Vegetable Protein (Soy, Wheat), Yeast Extract), Salt, Spices (Black Pepper, Red Pepper, Thickener (414), Garlic), Sugar, Glucose, Flavour Enhancers (627, 631), Mushroom.
Dried Vegetables: Green Onion, Mushroom, Bok Choy, Carrot, Red Pepper.

The flavour enhancer 631 is probably the only one that could be meat drived. Here's what Wikipedia says; "Disodium inosinate [E631] is generally produced from meat, including fish and pigs . Though it is normally a non-vegetarian product, it also may be produced from tapioca starch "

      Hope that helps. :)

These ones are very additive. Try it once, you will be hook. Make sure not to cook the noodles too soft.It will still be cooking after you take off from the stove because of the soup. Some Chinese grocery sale this product Made in China. Check carefully before buying. Tastest of any instand noodle. Careful with the soup base, very spicy. Put some in first and see if you can handle before putting more in. Add eggs to it.

    • Don't get the ones from China. Cancer alert

  • this is cheap… compare to Asian grocery store. i wished coles have black edition.
also Shin Ramen differ from region to region. in korea is more chilly and likely have more msg…

  • Shin ramyun used to be really spicy and good, up until addition of msg became an issue back then and changed their recipe without msg.

    Made in South Korea

Was hoping for some North Korean noodles. I hear they glow in the dark!

    • They have the made in China ones. Probably isn't even edible by North Korean standards.

  • way too spicy for me

Should change your user name, what an embarrassment

    • True

    • not healthy, everyone knows but people still eats them.
If you do not have any in the house. you would not eat it.

  • You must add CHEEEEESE in this!!!! Elevate the flavours to the next level

    • What kind of cheese? Cheddar? Mozzarella? Ricotta? Bega? Camembert?

      • I've yet to touch the blue cheese but that might be an idea

  • If you work in the Sydney CBD, the shops in Koreatown (Pitt St) have these for $2.90 everyday.

    • Cheaper at $2.85 if bought using discounted woollies e-gift card.

Ok guys, asian guy here checking in

Boil your water over a stove, NOT too much water or you will dilute the delicious soup base too much and spoil it !!
then throw in your pack of soup base and dried vegies (comes within the packet)
Then throw in the square block of noodles

    stir for about 30 s

Then drop in 2-3 eggs (your preference) . However do not stir too much as you want to simply poach them and not to dissolve it into the soup. Eggs should be runny still when you finish

Also throw in a handful of spinach if you like, if you want to be a little healthy, goes well.
Noodle are very easy to over cook and turn to mush, so pls be careful

but yeah sodium is through the roof so you dnt have to drink all the soup later..

    • I use a similar recipe and can recommend preparing this way. (Don't understand why Saitek was negged).

    • The 🍳 egg whites react with the spices for some reason, I only add the spice packet after the egg whites have cooked.

Or sometimes I fry the egg separately and make it a bit crumchy on the edges, slice it up and add as toppings to the noodles.

Sometimes I add a few slices of bacon as well if I’m feeling like a Miss Piggy. 🐷

      • Wow you people actually add stuff to instant noodles? I thought the whole point of them is being instant. If you are frying an egg you could just boil normal noodles!

        • +3

If there’s something you can do to elevate your cheap lunch to another level, why not?

    • Where's the cheese, Wong Fei-Hung?

    • And only if you wrote asian girl, I would've trusted you.

  • add bean shoots too or those really skinny mushrooms that look like bean shoots

  • I dare you to prepare it like how you prepare indomie mi goreng and eat it

  • I usually buy a packet of these and 2-3 slices of roast beef from the deli. Good meal.

  • I still have packages of these from the last deal.

Due to high sodium content I limit my consumption to 1 per week. Not good for the heart if you’re eating this every single day!

    • You can use half a sachet of the seasoning. 😉

      • It will taste different. Bland.

        • just half the water too…simple :P

          • @homersyd: Not enough to cover the noodles. The noodles tend to absorb a lot of the water.
Don’t tell me to reduce noodles by half as well!

            • @donotuse: Just use the full blown but don't drink the water; simple!

              • @tempura: That’s exactly what I said in a previous post! Then someone suggested halving and halving.

            • @donotuse: Unload half the soup or more if you mind, might quit it if that

    • Don’t drink the soup but hey hard to resist 🤤

  • so many fooking calories dude xD

  • How spicy are these compared to Mama shrimp Tom Yum noodles?

    https://www.woolworths.com.au/shop/productdetails/482810/mam…

    • +1

Different kettle of fish, my friend; both are nicey.
The question is would you prefer Thai or Korean tonight?

    • +1

It is a lot more spicier heat than the Mama shrimp Tom Yum noodles, especially if you use the entire sachet of soup seasoning. A good idea if you are trying these for the first time is not to use all of the soup seasoning as it will reduce the spicy heat and sodium levels.

  • Those who can't handle Nong Shim and said it's spicy, I suggest you try this

    • wat flavour is that? looks interesting…

      • Carbonara

        • cool thanks :)

  • I still have 3x5 packs left from last 1\2 price sale (bought 8). guess I have a stock up again and you can ask for a rain check if their out of stock.

  • Too much sodium

  • +1

Best before Aug 2019 at my local Woolworths, so I've stocked up until then.

    • I personally don't think they will go bad even after a few months given the spicy powder will outlast the noodles for much longer.

  • popped in tonight after work and they sold out (Elizabeth store)

Grabbed a couple on raincheck but will look at the one down the street tomorrow moring

    • Out of stock in Kogarah NSW as well

    • Dang, too many Koreans in the hood?

    • +1

Have tried 3 times to purchase, and they are always out of stock. Woolworths underestimated demand.

    • How did you go securing your boat

  • do these noodles actually have yeast extract seasoning on the noodles? Woolies website says they do? I always thought MSG was only on the seasoning?

  • My woolies has a sticker saying 'sorry customers, this item is currently unavailable'. Was trying to use my raincheck.

  • I think the topic has to change to become "@ some Woolworths locations", as I've checked at three different shops - nothing in stock and the staff even don't know about the deal.

    • Deal is expired now, but when it was active, you just need to get them to check their website to see the price and then they will honour it.

      • No point to look at the price if there is no stock

        • get a raincheck , then you have a month to get it.
