Cheapest i have seen copy of Exploding Kittens. I believe this one is genuine when looking at the Global reviews.

Well no reviews could mean its not genuine, i'm not willing to take the risk. By all means buy that one and report let us know! I'm curious myself. This one has over 12000 reviews on Amazon.com.
For the sake of a couple dollars i don't think its worth it unless someone can confirm.
I bought the 21.99 one yesterday and should be arriving tomorrow.
How do we know if it is genuine or not? And will there be a noticeable difference?

@loveyoulooongtime: Pictures arent totally crisp, and cards seem a bit thin. No idea what the genuine quality is mean to be like though.

it's like amazon in a way. fishpond sell their own stock but there's also a marketplace.

@bashar20: yeah but just be smart about who you buy from, use the same logic you would if you were using ebay. View their rating, be hesitant from low ratings, fishpond also tells you how long it took the seller to ship the item from when it sold which can be pretty helpful.
@bashar20: on the right you have to click on the vendor name near 'add to cart', that vendor is alright by the looks of it, avg of 4.9 stars.

obvious fake, havent even opened the box, but the artwork and the print looks dodgy as
interestingly he has spent $7.60 on postage, for a game worth $15.45, making it $7.85 for the game
Have not seen the original box but this one clearly says made in china (which the original could be as well
this one also has writing in arabic
Don't know how fishpond are with returns, but if I have to spend 7.60 on postage then I will probably put this one down to a life lesson learn and stick with amazon
edit: the original does say Made in China by Admagic and has a hologram sticker
mine says made in China and has no hologram
a bit of research does show that it is available on alibaba for $1!
even with $7.60 postage the seller on fishpond is making a handsome profit

I ordered this one from fishpond and today it arrived but unfortunately it is the fake one, the worst paper quality I have ever seen. I submitted my feedback and requested return.
Have received feedback from fishpond asking to contact seller. If I don't from the seller in two working days then I can contact them again.
This despite me telling them I bought a fake game from them.
Leads me to believe that they are not bothered about fakes in their website.
I did contact the seller and he said he would refund me my money. I'll believe it when I see it
I suppose this seller sells fakes, and returns money if you complain. He probably makes enough profit to carry on in his merry way. So much for a 4.9 rating

What's different with fake copy of the game?
I would assume low quality cards, low quality images, etc.

Unless you care about the publishes/creators getting paid, not heaps. I've had a cheap game or two in my time, and they're fine, but clearly not as good quality. Important for things that have lots of pieces (like a turn based strategy game or something), and less important for a simple card game like this. That said, if you are into the artwork and graphic design of a game, the genuine version will always come up nicer.
I have this game along with the expansion and its just 'okay' I was hoping for more playability but just the 1 game is enough if we have a group going.
We played this one the weekend and we had heaps of fun through the night.
Good deal if genuine.

also no where does it say made in china by Admagic

It is clearly fake.
The inside white cheap plastic has two trays for two deck of cards, however, only received one deck of cards.
Also the cards are poorly cut :-(
