PASSIONATE

Seems a pretty good price for this even though it's not the greatest gaming machine out there.

There are a few other deals that may be of interest to some, such as the Lenovo Miix 510 2in1 for $799.20

  • Buy lenovo laptop from lenovo ebay store, can it be returned if unhappy?

    • I am also interested to know the answer to this question. Anyone has experience in returning stuff purchased through eBay to Lenovo AU?

  • GTX 1050 4GB (Laptop) variant having 4GB is lower speced than the 1050 Ti

  • 250 nits display isn't quite bright enough. From what I see online, 300 nits is considered good brightness.

  • +2

If you want to use your laptop to game I recommend steering clear of this. Get a GTX 1050 TI as a minimum for decent gaming.

  • Too ugly chin.

  • Im pretty sure these models overheat/ thermals get pretty hot

  • Out of stock. Damn. He who hesitates is lost. You would think I would know better by now.

      Hi @khrome,
we added more stock, dont miss out again

Original listed price was still AU $1,419.00 on 05-Feb-19 15:16:35 AEDST. Why has listed price been increased now to AU $1,629.00?

  • Good specs but touchpad sucks, deal breaker for me

    • What's the issue with the touch pad? Haven't had anyone bag it in the reviews I've seen.

    • +1

…from what I read touch pad is pretty good..

  • This is so interesting, when you contact a seller through ebay, they will automatically show you the stock underneath the message. I just checked the stock, they should have 38 stocks available, but they said there is no stock available.

    • Does any one thinks it is hunger marketing?

    • Still available on their website but without the 20% Ebay code.

      • No, it clearly says that its out of stock.

      • 20% code only works on their ebay site. Valid till Feb 10. Clearly says they're in stock too cos I just looked.

  • +2

they have rise the price to 1629, so this deal is no longer recommended.

    • Still a deal. The PSSSIONATE code is still valid till Feb 10, making the price $1303. Retails at TGG for $1999 so that's a pretty good saving, though obviously not as good as previous one.

Someone I know had pulled the trigger on this over last weekend. He was looking for light gaming, mixed personal use. He told me he received it yesterday and is not disappointed. He also has a ThinkPad T480 i7 8550u from work (official use). So far his experience with Y530 compared to T480 has been quite well. Apart from the roughly 700gm extra weight (15" vs 14") everything on the Y530 seems better.

It's more silent during operation, goes for more than 4 hours on battery during mixed use, backlit keyboard and touchpad feels better, the laptop looks premium & good built quality, the included charger is pretty quick and performance wise it is a beast.

  • With 1300, it is not as competitive as to the Dell G5. But it is wired that their eBay price is not consistent with the price on Lenovo Official website.

  • I wouldn't expect a top tier laptop brand to rise the price when eBay comes with a additional discount. Comparing to what Dell did.

  • Are sellers even permitted by ebay to increase prices while participating in a 20% ebay sale…can't recall exactly, but I thought there has been some discussion about this kind of thing?
