In the spirit of, (and heavily influenced by), Issh's fine post on ios apps. http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/43156
Perhaps it would be useful to do a similar post for Android apps, (as many of us have just bought the Samsung galaxy tab).
I am no expert on android (only started using it two days ago), however, there have been a couple of apps that I have found useful so far…… Feel free to chip in.

      I like it, I also like Opera Mobile and FF. I just wish FF was a little quicker and it would be the winner hands down.

    This was the best post! Amazon App store offers one free paid app a day! There have been some good apps that I've got. Just a matter of whether you want to essentially 'hack' the Amazon app store with fake details (because it doesn't allow Australian users to purchase - details of how to hack can be found in a link in the above bargain post). So far from the Amazon app store i have managed to download for free:
