Pretty much the same thing is $149 at Bunnings. (1810PSI verses 1820PSI from SCA. And no drain cleaner)

Yes, Bunnings has the market by its balls when it comes to Gerni.

These comments are what make ozbargain great!!

    • SCA one is 1810 psi, I ordered online and box came in delivered.

      • +1

It's just a case of SCA having some incorrect details in the product details. It's 1810 psi, not 1820 psi. And now this deal thread is based on an incorrect detail.

Gerni is something you buy used on ebay or gumtree. Most buy it new, use it once and offload it at 50% the price.

    • So over 50% of these area sold immediately on gumtree or eBay? So why don't I see any listings for them?

      • You live in Darwin?

  • What do people recommend for a pressure washr? We have a wooden decking we need to clean before we restain. Last time we just borrowed a friends one, which is still an option this time if we can't find something better.

The entry level gerni or karcher has more than enough power to damage the deck of you don’t use it properly. I managed to “lap” mine on my first go as I got carried away with the colour it was revealing (spotted gum) and used it too close. Ended up with brush stroke like stains and had to sand it back.

    • Some mild detergent and a stiff manual brush then hose it off gently.

I have this exact Gerni and tried patio cleaner but it left swirl marks so I went old school with a brush.

  • My unit was not best one. nozzle started leaking after 6 months. Returned to Costco. I think Karcher unit I bought still going good with soap dispenser.

    Cheaper at bunnings

    • So link it.

      • See the 1st comment up top.

        • different specs. See first comment up top.

          • @try2bhelpful: It's just a case of SCA having some incorrect details in the product details. It's 1810 psi, not 1820 psi. Also, true ozbargainer is smart enough not to pay $100 more just for the extra drain cleaner it comes with.

            • @dan0909: Just pointing out that, technically, this isn't actually cheaper for the same product. It would've been better to say there was a similar product that might've been a better buy. Also, if you don't include the link, yourself, or mention the item is above then people don't, necessarily, know what you are talking about.

              • @try2bhelpful: $150 buys you the same unit without 8m long drain hose. For $39 one can buy 15m long drain hose. Here's [link] (https://www.bunnings.com.au/gerni-15m-drain-and-tube-cleaner…)

'Try2getintouselessarguments' or 'try2winuselessargument' usernames would suit you better than your current one.

                • @dan0909: You were the one who said "cheaper at bunnings" without any supporting information or details so maybe "dan0909inaccuratecommentwithnosupportinglinks" might be a better username. Followed by "dan0909prefersanargumentratherthanprovidingrelevantinformation" might be better as well. I'm just pointing out what somebody asked you the question on why you said "cheaper at bunnings" with no support or link and expect people to guess you are linking through to a comment that was earlier for a different product.

  • had a gerni, used it a handful in 6 months, gun broke. Went to Karcher, never looked back.

  • I bought this exact Gerni pack at SCA about 1yr ago for $199 with free hose and extension cord.

Good unit, but not a great deal this time around.

  • Anyone happened to know what size the hose nozzle to the unit is? Or anyone know how to convert to quick connect and disconnect. Cos the original hose too short, Thanks

    • Not really sure what you’re asking but I’ll have a crack.

High pressure hose is 8m long, which I think is longest they do. Not sure if the nozzle size but it’s kind of irrelevant because they’re Gerni specific. Gerni have an extension or you can buy longer aftermarket.

8m is usually plenty. What are you doing that needs longer?

      • @watts, I've this Gerni loving it, recently purchased 30m hose for $70 with quick connect and disconnect but not fit into the unit. Also purchased lots x12 of different nozzles from Ebay/ Amazon and none fit the Gerni. Kinda very disappointed, if I can convert the Gerni to quick connect with 30m hose looking at cleaning terracotta roof tiles. Well wishes me luck.
