Any pic of the card holder? I can't see it the offer on the westfield link

  • +11

    1 leather good per head

So one per female and two per male?

    • +16

      three for Tasmanians

  • At first glance, I saw Coach and saw $388/588 and thought wow, the brand has moved onto flogging passport holders now too!

  • does that mean if you buy more than 388 or 588
    You are not eligible?

  • Going to get one cardholder soon I guess, looks good.

  • +2

interesting that red wallet in Chinese culture means losing money..

  • +7

The 5 in the 588 makes it unlucky. If they're going to play into the whole number 8 thing, they should try to get it right. Maybe they need a Chinese person on their marketing team!

    • +2

I like it actually. Kind of the Australian way to stuff up something culturally significant. :)

Hehe. Yeah, very Kath & Kim.

  • i wondering interstate can order this, would be a nice.

    • Good luck trying to convince someone to sell you a gift card over the phone; I doubt they'll do it due to fraud concerns

    good deal!what about Melbourne?

  • You didn't spell PERFECT right…

    • +1

      prefect
      /ˈpriːfɛkt/
      noun
      noun: prefect; plural noun: prefects
      1.
      BRITISH
(in some schools) a senior pupil who is authorized to enforce discipline.
      2.
a chief officer, magistrate, or regional governor in certain countries.
"each department is governed by a prefect appointed by the President"

  • How come you have to pay $2.95 in order to purchase a gift card?

    • +1

Westfield card fee to cover the cost of being able to use the gift card where there's EFTPOS. You pay almost twice as much if you bought an EFTPOS gift card from the supermarket ($5.95 unless there's a promotion where the activation fee is waived)

  • -1

1 per 1 head? I have 2 heads you know what I mean

    • Alvian posted 9 hours before you, dude. Didn't you get the memo?

  • +1

The passport holder is RRP $175 and the cardholder is RRP $135

    • Holy

    • Are you serious? Who actually buys these things?

    • Wow. Hehe when I read the subject line I thought they were worth $2.95

  • Are apartments with 8 on them selling for a premium in the Opal tower as well?

    • +1

only if they are close to the fire exit

    • Maybe at a premium over neighbouring units…. so $18 instead of $10…?

  • $588 Westfield Voucher —- so it is not a gift card…where the voucher can be used?

    • in the shops

    • It's poor wording on the OP's behalf; it's a gift card that you can use multiple times until there's no funds left

  • I recall seeing a thread where someone said the Westfield gift cards can be used like regular eftpos gift cards, can anyone confirm if they this is true?
Edit: nvm, OPs final line clarifies this

Went to Westfield Sydney at 9:35am. Was being told that the promotion has already finished (probably out of stock). The gift card lady said she even couldn’t get one herself as it finished really fast. :(

    • Thanks for the update was gonna go after work today

      • You are welcome. I came all the way from Gordon and now travelling back to work. :(

    • Pity this wasn't posted earlier :(

reckon all the chinese were all over this lol

      • +1

they were all over this like baby milk powder on sale for 50% off

        • and all over the sydney properties which has jacked up the prices lol

  • +3

So stupid, they said they only have 10 to give away. Its gone within the first day of the promo.

  • +7

Saved my trip..is this a Chinese new year joke..10 to 50 wallets for the whole promotion..

  • +5

Don't be surprised if the employees already got the 10 or so limited items. Smells like the Dick Smith fire sale all over again.

  • Did anyone here actually get one?

    • Dick got one.
