Good thing about Virgin you get 2x23 KG oppose to Qantas single 30 KG
Virgin = 46kg across 2 x 23kg
Qantas = 30kg across unlimited bags

Interesting how PER-HK is $577 vs MEL-HK $459 despite being 1000km+ shorter. The joys of living in isolation.
That's because you're taking more flights from Perth as those flights still have to go through Mel or Syd - i.e. you have the same flight as MEL or SYD, plus the additional flight from Perth that Mel and Syd don't have to pay for.
Crazy how it's $461 with cash but if you want to redeem with velocity points, it'll be over 50k points each way.
