Someone do the maths, how much is this per meal?

    • +8

$6.71. And if that's still too expensive then a pre-made, delivered fresh meal just isn't on the cards for you. Try dry pasta and sauce.

      • +12

        Who hurt you?

        • Sorry, was in a particularly grumpy mood. Just getting ready for all the "not a deal" comments.

    • +1

$6.71 - with no requirement to lock in a recurring order. More up my alley this pricing.

      • +2

        cheaper than marriage.

    • You don't own a calculator?

  • $6.714 if you get the 'clean' meals $8.95. $7.714 if you get the normal $9.95 meals.

Potentially less with some of the packs if they still have them and you don't mind some shitty meals :o

Is it just me, or has Ozbargain started to go cold on youfoods lately?

Similarly priced offers that appeared prior to Xmas were heavily upvotrd now receive just tacit approval.

    • +1

Is it me, or is YouFoodz a diet club now Lol.

      • +1

Technically that's what it's been best at all along (other than some of the meals which despite people complaining about the size, have heaps of calories as is).

It's fairly priced against other 'diet club' type meals, if you just want raw calories for the cheapest possible it's not well priced.

    • +2

The deals weren't similarly priced on the whole. Last year they were offering $20 off $49/$69, now they have been more like $15ish off $120ish, or required recurring orders etc.

This deal is closer to what they offered last year.

      • None have required recurring orders, it's just they'll let you have the discount multiple weeks in a row if you lock in recurring orders.

        • That's not entirely correct. The YF-RO-4-CLEAN code did require a recurring order if ordering through the website.

Some workarounds were posted a bit later on, but you can't just place a standard once off order via the website using that coupon code, it had to be a recurring order.

          • @Domingo: But there was another coupon that gave you the same for 1 week in the same email? That email for me has this coupon and that one in it. This coupon is 'for 1 week' and that coupon is the same but 'lock it in for 4 weeks'. Otherwise, it's the same deal.

            • @[Deactivated]: The last 5 deal emails I've received are:

              1. contained BACKTOHEALTHY and YF-RO-4-CLEAN codes
              2. contained YF-RO-4-CLEAN only, required a recurring order
              3. contained YF-RO-8-LOVEFOODZ only, required a recurring order
              4. contained VIPDEAL only, $30 off $124 minimum spend
              5. contained BIGDEAL only, $25 off $124 minimum spend

so the last one was okay at best compared with last year's deals, the two before that required recurring orders and the two before that required over $100 minimum spend.

              • +1

@Domingo: YF-RO-8-LOVEFOODZ email for me also had the code 'CLEANWEEK' for the same deal over 1 week.
I never got an email with YF-RO-4-CLEAN in it alone.
I didn't get the BIGDEAL email, just the VIPDEAL email.

Yeah the min spend on VIPDEAL is a bit crazy, and BIGDEAL is plain bad.

    • $15 just isn't much of a deal. 8 meals for $49 is a way better deal than 7 meals for $47.

Unless they drop to $6 or less per meal, it's not really a good deal, for me anyway.

I ordered a few times from them. I always need 2 boxes per meal and I am actually a quite normal man with no obesity or bigger than normal appetite. I get a lot of restaurants nearby. So for me it is not a good deal.

    • +3

I don't know whats normal but I'm close to full after one box..

      • +6

One box is enough for me too. I’m 94kg and train every day. I used to eat a lot more, it’s all about portion control!

        • +2

Yeh I feel like eating 2 boxes defeat the purpose of being clean meal haha

  • I didn't mind their meals last time I tried, however it's easier to just buy CORE meals at Foodland for higher protein content in SA.
I also found a local lad who makes fresh meals for $7.50, and the serving sizes are larger. I'm sure there is more options in Melbourne/Sydney too.

Can also set and forget your order for your next 4 orders to get the discount for 4 orders using code "YF-RO-4-CLEAN". $200 for 4 deliveries of 7 meals each.

  • Tried them on the last deal. The meals are very small and even at this price isn't much of a deal imo.

Buy some broccoli, chicken and a random sauce and make your own in a batch.

  • ouch $20 delivery in Perth

  • +1

    That word clean disturbed me

    • It gives the impression that other meals are dirty.

  • Thanks man. Ordered.
