  Not that Mildura isn't a nice town… but can somebody do the maths to work out how many slabs make it worth the drive from Melbourne?

    As your username checks out I'd calculate 66.

    If you want to take a punt I'd factor in $100 of fuel to get you there and back so 10 slabs would work out the equivalent of $40 per slab and fit in the Corolla. But if you factor in your time at $30 an hour and you'd be gone for 12 hours, so that's $360, which would mean another 36 slabs to keep the $40 price point.

    So you'd need a truck, which would put your fuel and time up by another $200, so you'd need to get 20 more slabs.

    So in total 66 slabs.

    Or the total could be zero. Buy a bottle from the Bottle-O first to see if you like it.

    543km x 2 = 1086km return

    8L per 100km = 86.9L @ $1.30cpl fuel >> $113 return
    Saving $15 per slab —> 7.53 slabs

    So 8 slabs and you’re ahead just. Disregarding your time and vehicle wear and tear etc.

    I personally find Broo Lager too sweet.

    Australia Draught is a good session beer.

  Wish my local brewery did this. Sad face.

  They age one of their beers in shiraz barrels at the local winery. Amazing stuff.
