Great price, I ordered this when it was just the racquet alone for that price.
Just make sure you don't need it in a hurry if you're going to order online! Took well over a week from when I placed the order to when I received the shipping notification… And now it'll be another week until it arrives from Perth.

  • Pros tip.

If you are not too serious about your game, buy this and it will last you decades.

    Great racquet at this price.
Sell the grip online for some profit.
    (Its a bonus.)

JimKidd not making much with this price. I doubt they are. When this sells 179 or 199 at rebel.

Buy and leave it in cupboard.
You can sell it 3 , 4,5,6, years later for $100 easily.

Will be people wanting this racquet.

(Rep, do I get a commission?)

EDIT: I should also say, you can play great tennis with this too if you are a serious player. At least I am.

      But no +?

        There you go.

    • Hmmm I can’t see this racquet being worth much at all on the second hand market in a few years. Pretty much only top line racquets like the pro staff or blade series hold up value second hand, not beginner racquets like this one.

      • In my opinion, you will make a profit or break even buying at this price.

Pro staff…..buy at 259, sell at 50-100 few years later at most.

        • Yeah so if a pro staff is worth 100 what makes this beginners racquet worth more or the same? I just dont agree =)

          • @WillisAU: Pro staff will be everywhere when new ones and newer ones comes out.

Where as the volt will be less common, and people looking for a 2nd hand lighter stick will enquire .

Only hardcore players will use pro staff.
And hardcore players are not shy from spending thousands on the newest gear.

Plus, this current model of all black pro staff…..it will only be useable for 3 to 4 years I guaranty you.

I have seen more than 100 of them used by different players, the material they use on the throat neck of racquet is just dumb . Expect a sticky racquet in 3 years time . No one will want to hold it.

  • I've bought this, but can't find any reviews on it anywhere. Is it a decent racquet for an absolute beginner? I played tennis for the first time last weekend, I'm fairly powerful and have absolutely no control or technique.

Is there substantial technology changes in tennis equipment regularly? Or is this something that should remain relevant for a few years? Assuming I don't become an addict and go down the rabbit hole like I have with golf and change my equipment every few months for the hell of it.

    • If you change golf clubs every few months , then tennis gears are relatively cheap for you in comparison.

Find a $250-300 racquet and it will last you 10 years or more.

But this one is good enough if you are just starting out.

      50 bucks…..cant go wrong.
